TSN tweets a video discussing the possibility of Stamkos signing with the "hometown" Leafs. Stamkos likey. Then no likey.

I hope not. Blue has already documented some of the issues with Stamkos. He is in his peak years but his production is dropping on a team that has the firepower.  I wouldn't touch Stamkos at this point. He isn't the player we need right now.

Also, we bitched and moaned about soft players for years under the DR regime. Does Stamkos really strike you as someone who can produce in the postseason grind. FFS the dude was switched to wing during their Cup run. That's you Captain, in his prime, scoring 43 goals and supposedly leading your team, bounced out of his position when it matters most. Doesn't exactly scream "Drop $12m on me"
