woods-racer Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 fine by me. cripes. how great would it be to finish with 80-something points, but then sneak into the top 3 (is it 3?) for the 2016 draft. I thought it was 4 or 5 bottom teams in the draft for 2016. Then in 2017 it's every team not in the playoffs. Or maybe I'm just remembering someones version of the way it should be according to that poster. Quote
WildCard Posted December 7, 2015 Author Report Posted December 7, 2015 We're winning tonight, book it. Vancouver is 3-6-3 at home this year Quote
LGR4GM Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Bottom 4 spots are available in this year's draft lottery. All non playoff teams eligible. Quote
woods-racer Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Bottom 4 spots are available in this year's draft lottery. All non playoff teams eligible. Thanks. It's even simpler than I remembered. Quote
darksabre Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 We're winning tonight, book it. Vancouver is 3-6-3 at home this year Agreed. This should be a win. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Heading up for the game tonight (and expect they'll play better than last night). I know it'll be better than last year's Vancouver visit. Why? Last year's fourth line vs. the Canucks: Benoit - Ellis - Kaleta You'd forgotten that Hodgson got scratched for last season's return to Vancouver, didn't you? So did I. I think I blacked it out. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Wow, did Benoit really play forward in a game? Quote
Brawndo Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Bottom 4 spots are available in this year's draft lottery. All non playoff teams eligible. I think it's only the top three spots http://www.nhl.com/ice/m_news.htm?id=728795 Miller in net for Canucks Quote

Derrico Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Yea bottom 3, that's correct. If you finish last you could pick 4th if all hell breaks. I'm not even sure all hell has to break. Isn't it like 50/50? Could be wrong on that though. Anyways, after last year I don't even want to talk lottery. Big game tonight, let's hope our D plays better than they did last night. Quote
Huckleberry Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 I'm not even going to try to watch this one. 04.00 am for me, I'm out :D Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 What? You don't want to spend breakfast with us? Quote
wjag Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) 04.00 am for me, I'm out :D I'd just be getting up. That would be perfect you should dump the Sabres and root for some WC team. That would be a lot better for your viewing. Edited December 7, 2015 by wjag Quote
mjd1001 Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I don't look at the standings too often. So color me surprised. This feels like a better year and yet, the Sabres are a mere 3 points better than the 30th place team. Looking at their last ten they are 3-5-2. There are 11 teams within 5 points of being the worst team in the league.. Probably because there isn't a mass "race to the bottom" like there was last year. Sabres are close to the bottom of the league...that is true...but even where they are now...they are on a 'pace' for 76 points...last year they had 54 for the entire year. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Watching Preds - Bruins right now, to be followed by Sabres - Canucks. I like late games. Quote
Brawndo Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Bylsma said Ullmark will start in goal. Rest of lineup gametime call. Weber and CO'Reilly were last night's scratches. Either in? #Sabres Quote
Mustache of God Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Due to #Canucks pregame ceremonies tonight, faceoff not until 10:12 ET. Late night coming back home. #Sabres Quote
Brawndo Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Zemgus should be available tonight, per Bylsma Quote
Stoner Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I am so psyched for this! I am going to stretch out on the couch under a comforter, and 25-pound ball of orange fur will almost certainly climb on board. I'll check here in the morning for the final score. Quote
Brawndo Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Weber in for McCabe it appears during warm ups Lines per Harrington No changes from last couple games to #Sabres lines: Kane-ROR-Reinhart, McGinn-Eichel-Gionta, Moulson-Girg-Larsson, DesLaur-Legwand-Foligno Quote
darksabre Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Weber in for McCabe it appears during warm ups Probably a good move. McCabe has struggled a bit lately. Quote
skaught Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 I'm gonna have to watch this one delayed, I've got to head out to my beer league game. Quote
