this. I want to see some gumption in the third period, let's see these guys explode for the last 20 minutes and win this game. I am so sick and tired of watching this team roll over and take it while being told to enjoy it. Let's see some fight here. miller the sedin twins and vancouver.

GMTM won't take this for long.  Wonder if he's ready to deal.

He has done a nice job of revamping the forwards.  But, we're still very average in defense and goal (injuries not withstanding).  He needs to fix the backend next IMHO.

He's been very vocal about his expectations for us this season, and we've been exactly what he predicted

I'm good if we're progressing.  I think some players are, Risto, Sam, Pysyk.  But what will another year or 2 do for Gio, Leggy, Moulson, Chad?  Frustrating to see them regress.

Yup, Murray gets it. I have complete faith in him to accurately assess his team and pull the right triggers at the right time.

Those 4 all have their places on a team, just not in the roles we currently have them in (besides Leggy that is). I honestly have no clue what happened to Moulson, looks like he turned 42 overnight

Patience is needed the draft is in Buffalo and looks like we will have a top ten pick or better.

Emphasis on "or better."

We need more pieces; I'm al in favor of another really high pick.

Do you honestly believe Legwand and Johnson are in the long term plans? They're both in the last years of their contract, and Gionta will be done after next season. Moulson is the only of the group that looks like a genuinely bad contract.

I wish from the buttom of my heart that Linus would be the hero for this team for a couple of games in a row so this team could gain some confidence. But that does not look to happen =(

He's not the reason we're behind.

I see the league as a more speed league and let's face it he isn't that fast.

It's worth reiterating that Pittsburgh finished 29th in the league with 58 points in Crosby's rookie season. As frustrating as it is to lay total eggs against teams we should be competitive against, we need to keep perspective.

Other good news: Eichel is averaging the 3rd most shots/G for a teenager since 2005, trailing only Crosby's rookie year and Stamkos' sophomore season.

I was never a big Moulson fan, but yea, he looks totally shot. I expected him to be overpaid, not worthless.

But he's never had the wheels others do, and still managed a very good game. This year he literally is just...gone

some of the old dogs are holding this team back. You need the veterans but man are a couple of these old codgers slow.

Franson just might be the slowest player in the league.  He has to be the slowest defenseman.

IMHO, we need another stud defenseman to go with Risto.  Fortunately, this draft should have some good defense prospects.

Thanks. I needed to hear some good news tonight.

Was Ovechkin 20 when he started playing here?

A comforting state for sure.

WE NEED ENNIS BACK and Gionta to go to the 3rd
