Radar Posted December 7, 2015 Author Report Posted December 7, 2015 Just to clarify the subject line of this thread. It was edited and the intention was to have subject "Dunleavy" alone but obviously the "is" didn't get deleted. My bad. Sure seems like there was an overreaction to the mistake though. Quote

Radar Posted December 7, 2015 Author Report Posted December 7, 2015 State in the title what you want to talk about. Dunleavy is what? A good cook? A fine purveyor of wine? A Japaneses geisha? A waffle loving fool? A wonderful announcer? A terrible announcer? A flower pot? Take your pick. Quote

Stoner Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Dan is a throwback to another understated Canadian who didn't get too excited for goals... Ted Darling. Quote
... Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Darling could think and speak faster than Dunleavy. And also had amongst the best timbre I have ever heard. Quote
Stoner Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Rick's been called a homer, but not calling the opponent's goals is the height of homerism, and very bush league. I really hate it. Also Yeichel > Jumpin Jack Flash. Quote

I really hate it. Also Yeichel > Jumpin Jack Flash. I think "McHorsef##ker Frycakes!"is a much better call for Eichel. Maybe RJ can do it his last week in the booth. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 Also Yeichel > Jumpin Jack Flash. Keep that up I'll put you on ignore again. :flirt: Quote
DR HOLLIDAY Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 Dunleavy is like a piece of day old unbuttered hotel toast Quote
K-9 Posted December 8, 2015 Report Posted December 8, 2015 He's barely passable when describing action that you can watch on TV. He is a train wreck for anyone listening on the radio. Just terrible at painting the action and his lack of goal calling skills is that much more irritating. GO SABRES!!! Quote

He is bad only one worst maybe Duff. I like both those guys for pregame or between periods, particularly Duff but play by play please find someone else to spell RJ. Quote
mjd1001 Posted December 9, 2015 Report Posted December 9, 2015 I like Dunleavy. Is he as good as a 1995-2005 version of Rick Jeanneret? Nope. But to me, I'm just as happy hearing Dunleavy as I am the 2015 version of Rick. Quote
