LGR4GM Posted December 7, 2015 Report Posted December 7, 2015 You do remember Liger's early work here right? Early wookie trade proposals? Leino being the #1 center? the concept of Kassian? That's a pretty bold statement qwk, there have been some pretty big swing and misses in this board's history. What I remember from my early work was a distinct recognition that the core wouldn't cut and we desperately needed to trade someone for a #1 center. My trades were light on our end but I was working from a sound premise. Oduya is 34, his most productive season was 7goals 29 points. Ristolainen is 21 his most productive season thus far is technically last year although he is on pace to shatter those numbers. Last year he had 8goals and 20points on the worst NHL team in 20 years. Oduya isn't even in the same realm as Ristolainen when it comes to offense. Quote

I knew that my comment would go over like a fart in church, but whatever. I totally agree that Oduya belongs more on a list with Mike Weber than Risto when it comes to offense, I just was razzing qwk in his claim below being a bit of hyperbole. Thinking on it some more, the assertion that Oduya has better offensive awareness than Rasmus might be the wrongest thing I've ever read on here. Quote
WildCard Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 (edited) Rasmus has 7-14-21 so far this year, that ties him at 5th for goals (Josi) and 5th for points (Subban, Faulk, Suter) Certainly not the whole story, but we've already seen his advanced stats too. Nice to see the kid can put up points too Edited December 11, 2015 by WildCard Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 He definitely has seven goals. Quote
