Iron Crotch Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 I'll be at both the skills competition on Saturday and the all-star game on Sunday. Will probably check out the NHL fan fair during the day on Saturday since it looks fairly awesome. Quote
darksabre Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Maybe they can just not have the all star game anymore. That would be fine. Quote
shrader Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Ovechkin ditching the ASG, cites LBI as the reason why So we lose a top 5 scoring forward of all time and get John Scott. Yay He'll probably wind up being replaced by Kuznetsov, who is actually ahead of Ovechkin in points, 5th overall in the league. There's a good spin he can put on this if he wants to, letting his more deserving teammate get some well earned recognition. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Ovechkin ditching the ASG, cites LBI as the reason why So we lose a top 5 scoring forward of all time and get John Scott. Yay Your level of caring in the ASG fascinates me. It's such a bad product. Quote
Hoss Posted January 28, 2016 Author Report Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) Kuznetsov replaces Ovi, James Neal replaces Jonathan Toews. No way Neal should be in over Blake Wheeler. That's bogus. Edited January 28, 2016 by Hoss Quote
josie Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Your level of caring in the ASG fascinates me. It's such a bad product. Skills competition is stupid and fun. The game is always skippable. I always try to catch the skills competition for great moments like last year: The Gaudreau bit just kills me. Quote
WildCard Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Your level of caring in the ASG fascinates me. It's such a bad product. I love the skills competition. I never really watched the actual game until this year, because of the 3-3 tournament. I'm way more excited for the World's tournmane this summer and the Winter Olympics, when I can route for Jack in r/w/b Quote
Iron Crotch Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Kuznetsov replaces Ovi, James Neal replaces Jonathan Toews. No way Neal should be in over Blake Wheeler. That's bogus. They asked Blake Wheeler and he turned the ASG down since he already had a trip planned with his family. I'm excited about the All-Star game here this weekend. I'm headed downtown to stalk NHL celebrities! Maybe I'll run into Kathryn Tappen. ;) Quote
WildCard Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 Ironically, I'll be missing the Skills Competition Saturday night Quote
MODO Hockey Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 So i was listening to the interview with E.Malkin, how on EARTH can this guy be so fuwkin bad at english?! HOW?! I would understand if he had been in U.S for a couple of months, but seriously.. this is what grinds my mind. Quote
Thorner Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 Watching on TV, I can vaguely appreciate that while the ASG may not be the most exciting thing on TV, I bet being there with a few friends would be an absolutely kick ass time. Quote
darksabre Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 Come on just announce a John Scott. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 Ironically, I'll be missing the Skills Competition Saturday night Were you aware they aired it twice consecutively? As soon as it ended they looped back to the beginning. Quote
Hoss Posted January 31, 2016 Author Report Posted January 31, 2016 12 of the 44 NHL All-Stars were born after Jagr made his NHL debut. Holy . Quote

Can't belive they actually booed Kane Quote

Can't belive they actually booed Kane The Preds consider the Hawk rivals, right? Here's a recent one: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/01/12/the-nashville-predators-are-continuing-their-anti-blackhawks-fans-crusade/. I'm guessing that if the game were in Buffalo, the fans would boo whomever Toronto (and Boston, and Philly, and Moe-ray-all, and ...) send too. Quote
