LGR4GM Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Tim Schaller likely in tonight for Zemgus Quote

No Zemgus Girgensons. #Sabres No room for Pysyk with Bogo back (unless he switches to the left side). We're definitely stronger on the right side of the D than on the left. Quote

I thought Pysyk played on the left a bunch last year in the AHL. With Risto playing well, McCabe playing OK, and if Pysyk can play left, the Sabres D isn't in *that* bad of shape. Hoss Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Pysyk is out second or third best defenseman depending on what Bogo plays like now that he's healthy. I hope this isn't going to be a trend. Quote
LGR4GM Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 I would have benched coca-cola in favor of Pysyk with Franson. Pysyk skates 10X better and both can pass really well. Quote
nucci Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Ducky said he would do this, come back as early as possible. I think it has been 4 weeks, but I was hoping he'd wait 2 more at least why, what if he is recovered and ready to play? No room for Pysyk with Bogo back (unless he switches to the left side). We're definitely stronger on the right side of the D than on the left. No way Pysyk sits for Colaiacovo...or at least he shouldn't Quote
WildCard Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Posted November 17, 2015 why, what if he is recovered and ready to play? I doubt he is though, and given his injury history, I'd rather wait the two weeks Quote
Derrico Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Pysyk in tonight, Cola out Per Bill Hoppe Edited November 17, 2015 by Derrico Quote

Pysyk can play the left side (he is going to do so tonight) but his natural side is the right. Hopefully he is just as good on the left side. I still think GM Murray should consider trading for another offensive-minded left-side defenseman. But, that is for another thread. Go Sabres! Quote

Doohicksie Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Oh, I read the line-up above that Pysyk was #7 and Gorges, McCabe, and Colaiacovo were on the left. Probably because that's the way it was written, and may have been written up that way on the Sabres site. Quote
Huckleberry Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 I would like Pysyk - Ristolainen McCabe - Bogosian Gorges - Franson We can limit the time of the 3rd pair nicely that way. Always loved the chemistry between Pysyk and McCabe though :( Quote
WildCard Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Posted November 17, 2015 You may doubt it but if he practices and training staff clears him, he should play. Clearing him to play and being fully healed are two different things Quote

qwksndmonster Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Pysyk and McCabe should not get more minutes than Gorges. *yet* Quote
Randall Flagg Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 I mentioned this in the roster thread, but if ROR's line is tasked with shutting down Benn-Seguin-Sharp/whoever I don't think it's going to end well assuming he's still with Moulson and Gionta. No slight towards those two intended. Quote
nucci Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Clearing him to play and being fully healed are two different things Ok, do you think Bogosian is fully healthy? He's practiced and is cleared to play. Should he sit a few more weeks until he's fully healthy? Quote
WildCard Posted November 17, 2015 Author Report Posted November 17, 2015 Ok, do you think Bogosian is fully healthy? He's practiced and is cleared to play. Should he sit a few more weeks until he's fully healthy? Well, it's hard to tell, because we don't know his injury, and therefore don't know his time table. He tried to practice a few weeks back, and wasn't able to finish it, so at least we know he was being cautious. Kane's injury is a minimum 4 weeks, so we know he's taking the minimum amount of time Quote
X. Benedict Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Pysyk and McCabe should not get more minutes than Gorges. *yet* It depends. I would really play Pysyk McCabe most of the minutes of the 2nd with the long change. Throw Franson over for O-zone starts and PK. Throw Gorges over D-zone starts and PK. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Franson on the PK? Typo? Quote
Doohicksie Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Obviously. So obvious even pedantic me didn't take issue with it. Quote
