What a sad lack of scoring - Ennis had the only good chance and didn't go top shelf - nice - NOT!!!


IF they can't even score on a 1:30 second 5 on 3,  I don't think they're going to score.

Ennis can not make those kind of shots. Bylsma ought to drill him on those one-timers for hours.

It looked like they were looking for the pass across the goal to much. They should move the puck a few times in succession trying to get an opening instead of forcing one. I almost wonder if that is on HDD  for not working on 5v3 much in practice, at the very least I want Eichel on the receiving end instead of Ennis. 

 

And Rob Ray just said much the same. Which probably invalidates my point :P

We've seen Ennis fail to execute a one-timer into an open net several times this season already. 5v5, 5v4 whatever.

SJ does a good job of stretching the ice. Their breakout passes aren't to the halfboards they are to the faceoff dot outside the circle. This is partially because their D does an excellent job of creating space below the goal line with movement and passing.
