X. Benedict Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 If the Leafs finish with a better record than Buffalo, I will really be pondering the what ifs again..... The only way that happens is if they get Reimer to stand on his head for an entire season. The .950 is not something he can maintain for long. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 I don't understand It was a pretty big letdown for me when we didn't get Babcock. If he ends up taking that pile of garbage to a better record than us, it would be pretty darn impressive. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 The style that Babcock has the Leafs playing is horrible to watch as a fan. Basically the defensive philosophy is to smother anyone with the puck. When someone receives a pass, defenders are taught to skate directly at him. When he releases the puck and tries to get by, hold him up in a manner that is just below the threshold to draw a penalty. The end-result is boring, uber-defensive hockey. The Leafs - Preds game was one of the worst games I've ever watched live. Quote

Detroit was always one of the more exciting teams to watch in the last 5 years IMO. Quote
Doohicksie Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 But Detroit was even *more* exciting before that. Quote

Minus having an absolute ignoramous like Nolan behind the bench, most stiffs in a suit that know hockey will get you the same thing. Quote
Jsixspd Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 So is Toronto going the Tank route this year, or are they actually trying to win and stay mired in mediocrity for the foreseeable future? Quote
