Welp, not insurmountable, but not the kind of way you want to start a game against the Lightning.

I can't help but notice that just about every away game they play they seem to skate fast and the flow of the game is quicker. When we are home they seem to be sluggish, cant pass, and they can't help but trip over their own skates. It feels like our ice surface is smaller than other arenas.

 

This is not just tonight. It's the past 5 years. Is it just me that notices this?

That third one kinda was. He needed to gobble that puck up instead of kicking the rebound right back out.

I'm sure this isn't really news to most here, but our November schedule is a veritable murderer's row: Tampa x2, SJ, Dallas x2, St. Louis x2, Nashville x2. We also play Florida and Carolina, but you'll have to excuse me if I'm not concerned about those.

Gionta is a turnover magnet, D pairings are too slow.  Psyk and McKabe would be fine but you can't put Weber with anyone else.  Geez, they need to hit and Tampa is really good at obstruction at the their own blue line.  The guy  s on D just ran around and didn't seem to know where to pass to clear the zone.
