Stoner Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Lee-noose Mule-mark Is what I heard. And thanks MODO! I don't think it's a "yew" sound, it's more of a throaty oo sound. Quote
MODO Hockey Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Let's make it to Playoffs, and ill come over, we find a nice pub, order some nice beer and ill teach you one and another about Swedish :P Quote
Stoner Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 MODO why the slight difference in the two "u" sounds? And what about Linus Omark? (Just kidding.) Quote
MODO Hockey Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 Oh and by the way, i found an video i dont think Linus know is out there, but yea its a small clip where some friends of Linus takes him out for pike-fishing in the winter, the end i leave for Ullmark to speak for. hahahaEnjoy MODO why the slight difference in the two "u" sounds? And what about Linus Omark? (Just kidding.) :nana: Quote
woods-racer Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 So Lee-noose good. But not yewl-mark, more like Pool-mark. Quote
Stoner Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 So Lee-noose good. But not yewl-mark, more like Pool-mark. I think you've got it! Make sure it's in the back of the throat though. Quote
woods-racer Posted December 21, 2015 Report Posted December 21, 2015 You just handed me a long rope, you're watching me make the noose, and not even attempting to stop me... I think you've got it! Make sure it's in the back of the throat though. Wouldn't his first name sound more like Lee-niss, for that to be the case? Quote

Wouldn't his first name sound more like Lee-niss, for that to be the case? The actuall 'U' needs to be transformed from beeing used with 'Y' in the beginning, "Yuuu", to beeing said without the 'Y', and us needs to be said without Ahhhs.. uuhhs.. us. :D its very hard haha Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 The other difference is in the pronunciation of the R toward the end of the name. It's not rhotic as in English, it's more of a roll of the tongue as in Spanish (almost like a brief T or D sound). Quote
DarthEbriate Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) I think you've got it! Make sure it's in the back of the throat though. So you mean "ull" in surprise and alarm. Like "uuuulll". ;-] Actually, I'd have to dust off my English phonetic symbols guide to accurately write the sound, I think. Edited December 22, 2015 by DarthEbriate Quote

Stoner Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 It was hard for me to watch. At least now we know he walks on water. Quote
darksabre Posted December 22, 2015 Report Posted December 22, 2015 Bah, that ice is fine. The weight of the snow pack on top is probably pressing the sheet down into the water a bit causing that water to come to the surface. No big. That duck bit at the end. Straight up riffing off of Pingu. Quote
MODO Hockey Posted January 3, 2016 Report Posted January 3, 2016 Linus Ullmarks irl friend and former teammate Anton Forsberg (they played together in MODO Hockey), became a piece of NHL history last night beeing the first goalie to win a game jumping in after full time, for blue jackets. Quote
Eleven Posted January 4, 2016 Report Posted January 4, 2016 Interesting. It is rare that you see goalies in a jump-in. Quote

LGR4GM Posted January 4, 2016 Author Report Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Ullmark needs Lehner to come back. I think Ullmark could use the rest of the year in the AHL to learn the game more and work on his positioning. I will say I am very excited at how well he has played coming off of surgery and the progress he has showed already in Buffalo. Kid needs just a little more seasoning. That said our Lehner we need to go easy on for about a month. He has barely played hockey in a year. It will take him a month or two to get up to speed. I would love to see him get a 2 week conditioning stint in the AHL. Edited January 4, 2016 by LGR4GM Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 I would love to see him get a 2 week conditioning stint in the AHL. I didn't think you could get that long of a Conditioning Assignment but yeah, 2 weeks is the upper limit. Quote
