Delay in showing the post led to press post a second time.  The result was awesome, as many have pointed out, but was not intentional.  The double posting seems to have started a trend.

 

So, bottom line is ...

 

While my new Samsung Galaxy Core LTE is, indeed, a *smartphone*, NS is not yet a smart user of it.

My first smart phone post was a month ago, so not to far off on the learning curve. Unless I'm dying to post something short and sweet it's a lurk only thing for me.

 

It's a old/young feeling thing also. Yah! I'm still young enough to roll with new technology! Crap! I feel old cause I can't figure this out.

I'm on my second smartphone.  The first one was awful for SabreSpace in that it would, by default, load the full webpage on my phone.  If I switched over to the mobile version on the phone, then when I opened up SS on my desktop it would come up in the mobile version.  So I didn't SS much.

 

I got the new phone this summer, still getting used to it.  Frankly I don't like typing on any mobile device, they're too small.  I mostly use it for FB checkins and picture posts, not so much for SS. 

 

I've been remodeling a room that will be my man cave.  Right now it has the TV but no computer, so my only choice to post in GDTs is the phone.  But since I'm still working on the room it's a pain to post.  Once I get the computer set up in there (maybe before the next game) I expect to be able to post much more in GDTs.

I have unlimited texting and 500MG of data included, but no included phone minutes ... I have an old phone (15 years old) phone for calls.

 

So far, I only use the new phone for texts and email.

 

No contract, just pay as you go.  No billing ... I just need to make sure I load enough $ on the phone for them to take the monthly fees ... $25 / month.  I can fill it by buying gift cards and loading them up ... like in Europe.

90% of my phones usage is this. Then I return a short email that I received and will respond when able. I think you are like I am. You don't have a designated 8 hours in the office gig, but you plan time for the pc/lap top and want to know whats going on to efficiently use your office time(where ever your office is on that day). Sadly though, one of the down falls is people have now come to expect responses within 48 hours or they start to become pointy.

For those that were there, Is the Barclay's Center the mausoleum it seemed to be on TV?  Just curious.  Might have been the less than firewagon nature of the game being played and the conflict with the Mets last night as well.

 

First Isles game I've watched this year, and after reading about all the complaints about the building (obstructed seats for the most part) from fans, and staring at the stupid car in the corner, it seems a less than ideal setting for a game. 

 

 

It wasn't as empty as I thought it would be considering the Mets game but it wasn't filled up either and there were a lot of Sabres fans there, we got several "Let's Go BUFF-A-LO" chants going.

 

I read that the Islanders have the lowest attendance this year so far and that's no surprise...that's what you get when you move your franchise 30 miles west into Brooklyn, people can't drive to the game anymore and they jacked the ticket prices up as well. It'll take time for them to establish a new fan base to fill the seats throughout the season.

Weird indeed. I hate that we shackled Reinhart and McGinn with Legwand. That and Moulson continues to not get an opportunity to be with Eichel

 

 

Surprise surprise, Reinhart becomes invisible when you put him on the 4th line

 

There are some humorous things when you read the entire GDT the next day.  I realize this calls out Wildcard but you have to admire his ability to pinpoint the two players who scored by targeting them with "they need better line mates".  I'm not picking on you Wild... not at all.  Like I said, the coincidence of your first post shines when reading the GDT the next day. :)

 

I think the good news here is that players that some tend to think down upon are playing to a level that allows this team to win.  Moulson, for all his not playing with Eichel, has 4 goals this year, tied with Eichel and O'Reilly for the team lead.

 

The Sabres are getting scoring throughout the lineup and that's awesome. 

 

They showed some fatigue last night, there's no doubt.  They still managed to pull out a win.

I do not recall correctly, Moulson only has 1 PP goal.

Just because a player scores, doesn't mean they can't use a change of linemates. IIRC, at least 2 of Moulson's goals were on the PP.

I don't disagree.  But right now Moulson is tied for the lead in goals.  As it so happens, the 3 players with 4G each play on a different line.  Consistency in scoring and having each line being hard to play against is pretty admirable in my opinion.  Each line bangs, passes, and shoots.  More below...

In continuation (because I wanted to address both).  I think Bylsma will move some players around, but not while things appear to be working.  But, there's a hit or miss on that idea of doing it.  It's not just the probability of improving one line but also the probability of decreasing the effectiveness of another.  If the net gain is more production then great.  There is also morale.  I think, right now, no player necessarily feels that they are not on the 2nd line.  The O'Reilly/Ennis line I believe is the clear #1 line.  After that the Sabres have 3 lines of #2/3 lines.  Really.. they all seem so similar in composition at this point.
