Doohicksie Posted November 1, 2015 Author Report Posted November 1, 2015 Does the hat trick include... Getting a DUI, doing cocaine and being injured.... We have some candidates here ;) Actually yes, that counts. And whoever gets there first gets the hat trick named after him, kind of like a fight, a goal and an assist is a Gordie Howe hat trick. Doohicksie Posted November 1, 2015 Author Report Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Anyoke know who scored the sabres last hat trick? I can't recall. 2012-13 Thomas Vanek against Boston in a 7-4 win on 1-31-13 against Tuukka Rask I'll throw a really dark dark horse out there for next Sabres hattie: Auston Matthews :flirt: Edited November 1, 2015 by The Big Johnson Quote

Doohicksie Posted December 1, 2015 Author Report Posted December 1, 2015 So Samson almost did it last game against the Preds. Does he get the job done next game against the Wings? Quote
WildCard Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I had Eichel originally, and I still think it's him. If not, I'd say Kane, someone prone to just exploding one night First Gordie Howe hattie, anyone? I'll go Foligno Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 1, 2015 Author Report Posted December 1, 2015 First Gordie Howe hattie, anyone? I'll go Foligno I like how you think. And I see him scoring the goal and assist first, then fighting for the fun of it. But don't be surprised if Deslauriers beats him to it. Quote

Foligno came close in one game I thought, but yeah that's obviously a toss up between him and Deslauriers. Quote
French Collection Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Kane could get the Gordie Hattie as well. I don't think he needs to chuck the knuckles but he has in the past. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 How many have been scored this year in the league? A rarer and rarer beast, is my guess. Edit: Looks like 15. Which is more than I thought it'd be. http://stats.washingtonpost.com/nhl/league.asp?type=hat Also, Chris Neil with the only Gordie Howe hat trick so far. Quote
#freejame Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I recently started playing Franchise Hockey Manager and Gionta scored a hat trick this game for the Sabres first of the season. I have no reason to think a computer game would lie to me, so he's my bet and it'll happen tonight. Quote

Doohicksie Posted December 11, 2015 Author Report Posted December 11, 2015 No one called Risto. That makes me sad. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 11, 2015 Author Report Posted December 11, 2015 Risto. You win!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 11, 2015 Author Report Posted December 11, 2015 Well now that Rasmus Ristoleinen has scored the first Sabres hat trick in about two years (and first by a defenseman in over 25 years), I changed the thread title to a more optimistic plural. Quote

I was wondering how long it had been since a D hat trick, thanks. Quote

Ottosmagic13 Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 It was Housely, 1988 I think. Tyler Myers eat your shorts, Risto is everything you wanted to be and failed, all 6'8'' of disappointment. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 10, 2016 Author Report Posted January 10, 2016 And.... there's a hat trick for Reinhart. He deserved it; his best game as a Sabre. Sabres 4, Jets 2. Quote
