French Collection Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 At least both teams played last night. I don't know the stats but the results of fresh vs 2nd game in two nights probably favours the more rested squad. League schedule makers hopefully look at all teams' back to back schedules and balance it out. Quote
Stoner Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 I always rather disliked Philly sports fans and thought they were all worthless. I can now think of 2 good reasons why I was totally wrong. I hadn't noticed the Flyers logo. Thanks, pA. I figured the front couple rows would be able to see the crease area, but don't know if the angle of ascent was sufficient to allow further rows to too. I agree about sitting higher. I'm usually happy to sit center ice area in the 300s, but 20 year old daughter has different ideas. Can't imagine why... Now I'm not so sure what your question is. Anyway, report back on what the seats are like. Quote
Doohicksie Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 I hadn't noticed the Flyers logo. That was the first thing I noticed. Okay, maybe the third... Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Lots of people aren't sure where to go for fancy stats. Isn't the NHL itself publishing all of these stats this season? Hilariously enough, the NHL's own stat site is hilariously inaccurate. My favorite is still war-on-ice.com because it gives you both graphs and tables, as well as score-adjusted Corsi. Quote
woods-racer Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) I've been going to Hockey-Reference.com. Specifically for our defense vs. similarly priced defense men around the league. Have you looked there Blue? Edited October 30, 2015 by Woods-Racer Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 I've been going to Hockey-Reference.com. Specifically for our defense vs. similarly priced defense men around the league. Have you looked there Blue? Yup, I like the site. Quote
woods-racer Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Cool. War on Ice is a bit to advanced for me right now. I can navigate and comprehend the Hockey Reference site. Just wanted to double check that I wasn't wandering in the world of bogus numbers. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 I'm amazed at how cheap I'm getting these 300 level tix for day of the game.... Kinda cool when I don't know my schedule and etc.... I hope to see jack step it up and control a game.... I'd like to see him get a little more physical as well. Please sit Gionta for..... Matt Ellis Quote
Hoss Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Even people in the front row can see the goal/goal crease. That said, IMHO, other than the excitement of being that close to the ice, low is the worst place to see a hockey game. This would be an interesting discussion to hear more of in a separate thread. I think most, including myself, agree. But if you've been to a ton of games up in the 300s or upper 100/200s it's great to get up close and personal. Looks like 6 is out Bill Hoppe @BillHoppeNHL Don't see Mike Weber on the ice for warm-ups. #Sabres Quote
Dannepanne Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Never wish for Ellis in the lineup.. That's just bizzare and sad. Quote
ubkev Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Tonight's lineup Should have gone with the unicorn horn on Eichel. Quote
North Buffalo Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Tonight's lineup This great, luv the one on Molson, and D... Quote
hockeyhound Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Let's Go Buffalo! Edited October 30, 2015 by hockeyhound Quote
SwampD Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Let's Go Buffalo! Hope we see a Buffalo team playing between the dots and not taking sharp angle shots. Doug Allen is always solid; I think we have one of the best. Absolutely. Doug is great. He doesn't #### around and actually sings them at the tempo they were intended for. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Man, interference really just isn't a thing anymore. Quote
Ottosmagic13 Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Nice tackle on Girgensons there Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Um, 32 there could have reached his stick out six inches to grab it, icing? Quote
Brawndo Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Better start tonight Edited October 30, 2015 by BRAWNDO Quote
SwampD Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 There's a lesson for young skaters, don't skate past the net. Skate to the front of the net. Quote
Ottosmagic13 Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 An interference call, I thought that was stricken from the rules this year Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 So it appears that the threshold of time-spent-interfering for it to be a penalty lies around 5 seconds. Quote
SwampD Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 An interference call, I thought that was stricken from the rules this year That actually was interference, though. The other one wasn't, imo. Quote
Brawndo Posted October 30, 2015 Report Posted October 30, 2015 Reinhart is in some pain on the bench Quote
