inkman Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 That was the one example of why I want Kane on his line. I'll take Delauries for a $1000 Alex. Quote
Doohicksie Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 ...and then there's Pierre McGuire.... Watching Pens/Caps with Emrick/McGuire calling the game. I can't listen to McGuire anymore without picturing Leggio doing an impersonation of him. :D Quote
MattPie Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) Watching Pens/Caps with Emrick/McGuire calling the game. I can't listen to McGuire anymore without picturing Leggio doing an impersonation of him. :D You know what the video needs at the end? "Oh, and the Pens Score! What a great play by Crosby there, he was on the bench but clearly had a large part in that goal." Edited October 29, 2015 by MattPie Quote
LTS Posted October 29, 2015 Report Posted October 29, 2015 You see that a lot. Sometimes I think it's an optical illusion where on TV it looks like they're a stride away but in reality the distance might be so great the backchecker knows he's not getting there and might let up. It's no excuse. There might be a rebound or something and he'd want to be down the ice as quickly as possible. Hockey's a very tough sport to analyze while watching on TV. It's still no goal. I can't wrap my head around wanting to allow kicked-in goals. It's not hockey anymore, and it's dangerous. I would be more clear on how I said that. Kicking should only account if the foot is barely off the ice. Clearly don't want someone raising a skate up too high there. But on a play like the Foligno play.. that should be a goal all day long. There is a desire to increase scoring.. let it happen. Quote

Not sure any Buffalo fan wants to encourage more skate blades flying around (Malarchuk, Zednick). Quote
