Hoss Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Sabres tweet: Coach Byslma says Evander Kane has an MCL injury; he'll be out 4-6 weeks. Quote
3putt Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 No surgery then? That could be with surgery if it is not a complete tear. That was my time frame. It is a micro tear they will debride and do therapy to get it strong. Quote
darksabre Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Nailed it: From experience, I'm expecting him to be out 4-6 weeks unless they rush him back. It was definitely a knee sprain. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Not good news in a vacuum, but about the best we could hope for given what happened. Quote

3putt Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Sounds like pain. It is painful for a few weeks but more of nuisance. Quote
CallawaySabres Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 At least we have the Bills right now to guide us through..... Quote
Mustache of God Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Everyone crying for Eichel and Kane to be separated should be happy. Quote
Stoner Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Not-so-humblebrag :P I predicted Rick would not retire, remember? Quote
qwksndmonster Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Everyone crying for Eichel and Kane to be separated should be happy. They were separated 2-3 games before this happened. So does that make Bylsma one of the people crying for them to be separated? Quote
WildCard Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Being in winger purgatory is a hell of a lot better than center purgatory though. Still some really bad news though. It wouldn't bother me so much if Kane didn't already have an injury history Edited October 26, 2015 by WildCard Quote
nfreeman Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 Not good news in a vacuum, but about the best we could hope for given what happened. Exactly. I thought it was a broken leg, 3 months minimum. Quote
Ducky Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 He gets injured because he plays a fast, hard hitting game. I have never seen Kane be out as long as the doctors first say although with an MLC injury, he might be. I'll tell you this, he will be pleading to get back on the ice before he is ready. He can take a ot of pain but you wouldn't want to come back too early fro m this injury. Let it heal properly. Really tough break considering the goalie is out too. Quote
WildCard Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Does this mean our Christmas present is Kane and Lehner returning at te same time though? Edited October 26, 2015 by WildCard Quote
