Huckleberry Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Didn't expect them to win much first 10 games, certainly seeing the opponents we are facing. But was hoping for some more clear offense and more confidence in the offensive zone, just not seeing that at the moment. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 That will teach me to go pee ... missed 2 goals for the bad guys. GO SABRES!! Quote
Thorner Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Johnson asleep at the switch Johnson has been good. There have been mistakes in front of him that have lead to the goals. On the 3rd goal, Gorges skated directly towards and at him when Johnson had the puck and was going to play it, rather than drifting to the side so Johnson would have an outlet. Directly led to the goal. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Well that's the game. Doesn't get any easier with Columbus coming in Quote
Eleven Posted October 10, 2015 Author Report Posted October 10, 2015 Well, they've fallen apart, and I think we're seeing the real Chad Johnson now. Still, I would like to see this team galvanize and score another. Quote

Randall Flagg Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Dan needs to separate Kane and Eichel. They're the only two he hasn't yet it seems. Quote
sicknfla Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 2 games in and have already lost interest. Am i the only one who is trying real hard to get the passion back but something is missing? Quote

wjag Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 The talent has been upgraded, but the play has not... Quote
Brawndo Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 One goal deficit heading into the third, they have them right where they want them Maybe Not Quote
Stoner Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 I don't see these goals as being Johnson's fault really at all. I guess he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt that the elite Ryan Miller always did. Quote
... Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 They hung in for two periods based on talent alone against a very good team. If Bylsma was looking for wins for wins' sake, he'd juggle the lines more. I think we're seeing the coaches being patient and concerned a lot more with team and system development. Quote
sicknfla Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 A good stew takes time to cook. Our forwards are the veggies - our D and goaltending is rancid meat. Quote
ubkev Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Playing a cup favorite whose team hardly changed from last year and everything is all doom and gloom already. Glad to see the board is in mid-season form already. Tampa should beat Buffalo 4-1. They are better. A lot better. Quote

Huckleberry Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) I don't see these goals as being Johnson's fault really at all. A couple of nasty deflections, not much he could do about those. 2 games in and have already lost interest. Am i the only one who is trying real hard to get the passion back but something is missing? I'm not that doom and gloom, I saw some improvement from last game. This will take time. Edited October 10, 2015 by Huckleberry Quote

Directly led to the goal. I agree he has been good but that particular goal I was talking about that came from the side he has to stop those. Wasn't ready for that shot. Oh well. Baby steps I guess with this team. 0 and 2 to start the year. Fire the coach, lol. Quote
Thorner Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Ya, it's all a little over the top. Shots were close today, we outhit them and were better in the face-off dot. The play has improved from last year, and we were playing the Stanley Cup finalists from last year, today. In the words of Aaron Rodgers - Relax. Quote

Just kind of expected a little more offense than we have seen. Quote
3putt Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Why is ROR not on the first PP unit?Because he is not very good. Quote
