russ Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Game's on MSG now. Maybe they forgot to fall back... Quote
WildCard Posted October 3, 2015 Author Report Posted October 3, 2015 Lehner kicks the rebound right into the slot At least Reinhart is still alive Quote
pastajoe Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Boo birds have migrated north early this season. Quote
wjag Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 (edited) Eichel -2, Kane -3, Risto -3, O'Reilly -2, Gionta -3 EEK and 5 SOGs.... Edited October 3, 2015 by wjag Quote
... Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Okay, pick on the goalie time. Lehner just looks awful. Unless he turns it around in a week, he's a bust. He can't start the season looking this bad. Quote

LGR4GM Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Come on Linus Ullmark, get healthy buddy, we're going to need you. Quote
... Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Usually teams improve as they play more games. The Sabres are getting worse. They're all tight all of a sudden. The first four or five preseason games weren't "serious" so they were having fun. Now it's time to get serious and they're all tense. And the goalie stinks. Quote

SwampD Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 GameCenter rocks! Blue Jackets are a team to watch this year. I think the Sabres are going to be tough to watch until the new year. Still beats the "that which will not be named", though. Quote

Now it's time to get serious and they're all tense. And the goalie stinks. Then let's be patient and wait for them to relax. We all know they're better than this. Quote
... Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 I agree he looks bad, but yeesh, this is quite the rush to judgment. No it's not and I explain why in the sentence that followed. No goalie should look this bad at the start of the season. There is no excuse for it. You think he's going to look better a week from now? Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Looks like Bylsma has taken a grenade to the lines. Did I just see Moulson-Legwand-McGinn? Quote

Now it's time to get serious and they're all tense. And the goalie stinks. I think it's how good the Blue Jackets are (yes, I know who's not playing) and that he jumbled some of the lines and it's not working at all. That and Lehner is just terrible tonight. Maybe one of those should have been a goal Quote
pastajoe Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 The early games had prospects that were hungry to prove themselves. These guys look a bit too content. Quote

I have no idea, but I'm not going to call a guy a bust for a short stretch of bad hockey following a concussion that wiped out half his previous season. I hated the trade and am not especially optimistic about him, but he certainly deserves more than a preseason and the opening week of the season to prove himself. Quote
Brawndo Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Following the game here and on Twitter. That bad huh? Quote
WildCard Posted October 3, 2015 Author Report Posted October 3, 2015 I don't get why all 3 of Ennis, Eichel, and Moulson were just bunched in front of the net when McCabe was circling up top. Someone get down low and give him an outlet dammit Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 I don't think we have a single player playing well, from the goalie to the forwards. Quote
darksabre Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 There are going to be nights like this. Such is the transition year. Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 I hate to tell this team this but after surviving 2 years of the tank, fans aren't going to give them much slack. There are going to be nights like this. Such is the transition year. Quote
JJFIVEOH Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 Just started listening, probably not worth watching, eh? Quote
SwampD Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 I hate to tell this team this but after surviving 2 years of the tank, fans aren't going to give them much slack. Stupid fans won't. I will. It's going to be a while before they look like a cohesive team and that's fine. We're not winning the cup this year. Quote

Dude, this isn't about "proving himself", this is about simply looking capable and competent. He looks awful. I'm not looking for the next Hasek next week, but I am looking for a NHL-ready goalie. Stop trying to be the marm, here, the guy looks out of place among his peers. Quote
wjag Posted October 3, 2015 Report Posted October 3, 2015 I keep going up and down the Columbus roster. Who are these guys? This doesn't look anything like the team they iced last year. Are they getting beat by Columbis AHL team? Quote
