I think Ennis. He has survived the tank, became a better player during that shitstorm, and should thrive with new linemates. The new guys will respect that he has been here since day 1 and the guys that have been here with him already respect him. May not be the overall next player but i think he is team mvp at the end of the year.

With that in mind I'd give Girgs credit for his bright spot in the dark room category.

When's the last time the Sabres had 10 guys that fit in on the top 9? Nice to finally have a "1st world problem."

 

It is hard to remember. But we've seen what depth can do, it can make guys like Alex Kotalik look like stars.
