Eleven Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 Eleven received a "significant" offer once at a hotel bar from Morgan Fairchild. It is unclear how large the overall package was :flirt: , but if the offer went through, it would have seen Eleven going up to Morgan's room, one source told Robins Egg. The offer, another source confirmed, was "seriously" considered by Eleven, but the deal was later "nixed" by Fairchild. Nicely done. Quote
Eleven Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 Adam Herman@AdamZHerman EJ Hradek is dropping some bombs right now. Says Tampa discussed Stamkos/Eichel trade idea. Says Blackhawks tried to keep Kane out of camp. Quote
WildCard Posted September 27, 2015 Report Posted September 27, 2015 As TrueBlue brought up earlier, I think we need to know the extend of the word "discussed" If it was a serious discussion, Murray just ended up on my list. Quote

Says Blackhawks tried to keep Kane out of camp. Not sure why discussions would be a "bombshell" even if they went so far as to have TM offer Eichel. Hearing a deal that TM & SY both agreed to had been in place and then somehow got scuttled (a GM getting cold feet or an owner overruling) would rise to bombshell level. Any indication/insinuation that a deal was in place? Edited September 27, 2015 by Taro T Quote

Oh, I totally agree. It's just that now, there's a credible source involved. SY calls up TM, offers Stamkos, TM laughs and hangs up, that's still a discussion. Not sure why discussions would be a "bombshell" even if they went so far as to have TM offer Eichel. LGR4GM Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Do you think it's possible Buffalo would take a run at Stamkos in a trade later in the year or if he becomes a FA? No. Stamkos would be a trade of 2016 1st, Risto, Reinhart, and Foligno or something like that. There is no point in gutting a team when I can keep all those other parts and have a more well rounded team. Personally I think we could see a Stamkos to Toronto deal if Yzerman can't sign him by the deadline. As TrueBlue brought up earlier, I think we need to know the extend of the word "discussed" If it was a serious discussion, Murray just ended up on my ###### list. It was probably hey I want to trade you Stamkos for Eichel. Straight up or what? Well we could figure something out. What do you think? I think it would have to be a very crazy trade for me to seriously consider it. Such as? Stamkos and Drouin for Eichel and a pick... like a 3rd rounder. That seems a little a steep. Well yea, I really like Jack and he's the future of our team. I understand, well I would be open to something but I understand if it doesn't fit. Okay, thanks for calling. How's the weather.... There. Discussion about Stamkos to Buffalo that was completely meaningless. Quote

Trettioåtta Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Just because it was an Eichel/Stamkos deal doesn't mean it was straight up. Stamkos/1st/Drouin/Vasilevsky for Eichel.. Would people do that? Quote

Would people do that? I doubt Yzerman would have done that but I think if we are talking a trade like this, that 1st rounder would have to be a defensive prospect or take out drouin and put in a young defender. Quote

Yeah, I was more just making a point that if Murray did entertain the discussion it doesn't mean he is crazy. Stamkos is a top 10, probably top 5, forward. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 I sat next to Morgan Fairchild at a hotel bar once. I guess that means I almost went up to her room. Sorry; that's really it. We didn't have a conversation. Probably a good thing since I was waiting for my then-girlfriend. I can confirm that she is absolutely beautiful in person; strikingly so. So it's not just good makeup and camera angles. Now I've got Jon Lovitz as Tommy Flanagan on the brain. Quote

Just listening to his offer counts as "entertaining" it. Yzerman probably looked at the fact Stamkos, Hedman and the Triplets are going to need contract extensions soon and he knows GMTM likes to trade, so why not try to get a budding superstar on an ELC and keep the other pieces. Thankfully it did not happen Quote

If the walls had ears we'd be amazed at some of the conversations G.M.s have concerning possible player moves. Quote
