WildCard Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Ottawa comes into Buffalo tonight for the second of seven preseason bouts the Sabres will have this year. After coming off an impressive debut, Eichel will not be playing tonight. Yet it sounds like we'll see Kane, O'Reilly, and Ennis, and possibly Reinhart? Game can be heard on WGR 550, Duff and Ray with the call tonight Quote
... Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 This is one of the "tape delayed" games on the NHL Channel, init? Quote
darksabre Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Excited to see guys like Kane and O'Reilly tonight. As much as I love Jack Eichel, those two guys are going to be this teams meat and potatoes. Quote
spndnchz Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 This is one of the "tape delayed" games on the NHL Channel, init? Yes. Will be on NHL Network around 10:30 just after the game ends. Quote
shrader Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Yes. Will be on NHL Network around 10:30 just after the game ends. Hmmm, I may have to set the DVR. It's preseason and I'll probably only watch 20 minutes or so, but I think it's still worth it. Quote

Game can be heard on WGR 550, Duff and Ray with the call tonight Are you sure about this? Jeremy White has been talking all morning about watching Eichel tonight, even going so far as to say what linemates (Girgensons and Moulson) he'll have. Now he's saying that Eichel is not playing. He's also referring to something that he said earlier about NHL policies about televising pre-season games, but I did not hear what he said earlier. Anyone? Edited September 23, 2015 by Eleven Quote
Mustache of God Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 He's also referring to something that he said earlier about NHL policies about televising pre-season games, but I did not hear what he said earlier. Anyone? Didn't hear the segment but I'd be curious to hear what exactly that policy includes. The past two days Hockeystreams have had streams for 12 different games which means at least 6 teams each day have either televised or streamed their games in some fashion. Looks like I'll be watching an Ottawa feed tonight as it's on the HS schedule. I'm really excited to see Kane - O'Reilly - Ennis skate together, it's been so long to see what a real scoring line looks like. All eyes are going to be on Reinhardt tonight as well. I hope he has just as big of a game that Jack did on Monday. Go Sabres. Quote
Doohicksie Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 This is one of the "tape delayed" games on the NHL Channel, init? No. It's digitally recorded. No tape for you. Funny, last year we were all interested in seeing Samson, but that was pretty much it. What a difference a year makes. Quote

darksabre Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 I figure the top ones do. The bottom ones maybe not so much. Are the Sabres in a position to "roll 4 lines"? It sure appears that way. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Come on guys! It's game day and the tank is over! You better be on your game come regular season Qwk.... Yeah yeah yeah I'll be "on my game" when you're not grinning at me. Quote

It sure appears that way. Don't know about rolling 4, but it sure looks on paper like they have 4 legit NHL lines even if A player in the top 12 is out. Kind of pretty much forgot what it's like cheering for a team like that. ;) (Fortunately the D still may be suspect. :p) Quote
LabattBlue Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Do lines have any meaning in the preseason? Considering how often coaches change lines in the regular season, do they ever have any meaning? Quote

Mustache of God Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Here's a look at Ottawa's roster: http://senators.nhl.com/v2/ext/PDFs/Sept23_Roster@Buffalo.pdf Only 6 players played for Ottawa last year. With these guys going up against 2 of our top 3 lines and our supposed #1 goalie this better be an unbalanced game in the Sabres favor. Quote
