Eleven Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 Interesting stuff, mjd. If Eichel and/or other rookies/youngsters aren't socially integrating, I'd say it's up to the older players to break the ice a little bit. Quote
Stoner Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 Interesting stuff, mjd. If Eichel and/or other rookies/youngsters aren't socially integrating, I'd say it's up to the older players to break the ice a little bit. Eichel won't have any trouble making friends. I think the skate away from teammates with the head down is going to become a familiar sight to us. It's how he focuses. He came out for the opening faceoff of the scrimmage back in July and did it. It was very dramatic and it got a huge round reaction from the crowd, but it's not him being dramatic, I don't think. Quote
darksabre Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 Well, I'm ready for hockey. How about that preseason game tomorrow? Quote
WildCard Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 You know why I love the tank? Watch one quarter of the bull ass that is the Bills Quote
LTS Posted September 20, 2015 Report Posted September 20, 2015 I don't know if something has changed but they were calling him pesser last season as his name is pronounced pessick. Yea.. I expected him to pronounce it that way. Perhaps he was having fun? Perhaps he says it that way and others say it like pesser. Either way.. it was funny to hear. Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 I know that opinions vary on Weber but he really is a great locker room guy and solid 6th defender. Also, Mike Weber, Patrick Kaleta, and Tyler Ennis are the only guys to survive the tank. (Did I miss anyone?) Quote

Cody McCormick technically though resigned last offseason. Otherwise no one is left. :D Quote

LGR4GM Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Looking at 12-13 stats... Foligno Pysyk Ruhwedel Ellis In my mind the team died the night Lucic tried to decapitate Miller. However good to know a few more people survived the purge. Quote
Ducky Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=779460&navid=nhl:topheads evander kane :P Kaner has confidence. He'll probably score 30+ if he and his line mates stay healthy but don't forget, at the beginning of last season he said he was set to score 50 goals... Quote
Thorner Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Re-answering your last question. It appears Catenacci was LW and Ellis the RW. Thanks dude! After listening to Weber, it is not hard to get really jazzed about upcoming season... I had the same reaction. Quote
Eleven Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) Six cut: Jacobs to Rochester. Cornel back to junior. Chapman, Goulakos, Motte, Asmundson released. http://www.wgr550.com/Sabres-cut-six-players-/21998265 Edited September 24, 2015 by Eleven Quote
LGR4GM Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Woo. Slowly getting down there. I expect more fringe guys to play in the next 2 games before final cuts happen. Quote
shrader Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 No, not Spiro! I can no longer speculate about the whereabouts of Spiro Spacek, he and Jaro's secret love child. Quote

Taro T Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Looks like a C and two A's to me. on 1st day of camp, O'Reilly was last off the ice from both his sessions. He definitely has a passion. These other 2 seem to have it as well. What a difference a draft day makes. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 Bill Hoppe @BillHoppeNHL 1m1 minute ago Josh Gorges and Zach Bogosian are week to week. #Sabres Meh, I'm up for some 5-4 wins. Quote

That's my prediction for this team. Forget shutouts. Lot's of high-scoring tilts, of which the Sabres will lose their fair share, but will win a surprising (to the rest of the league) amount. Quote

That makes for a hound's breakfast in the opener: Pysyk - Ristolainen Weber - Franson and probably Colaiacovo -Donovan, but if either Gorges or Bogosian get IR'd McCabe or Guhle could get to show their stuff. I'd expect they'd give the chance to McCabe, but I'd be ok w/ a 3-4 game look-see on Guhle. (Don't think he's earned a full 9 games.) Quote
