dudacek Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 So we paying him an NHL salary to play in the minors? Can't see him in Buffalo. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 So we paying him an NHL salary to play in the minors? Can't see him in Buffalo. Maybe ROR takes a little less now... Or maybe this was one of his conditions on extending Quote
LGR4GM Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 alright you had your fun now edit the thread title so when ROR signs we won't be confuzzled Quote
Brawndo Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 @kevinoDandC: Cal O'Reilly produced 10-51-61 in 76 games for Utica last season, plus 2-17-19 in 23 games en route to Calder Cup finals. And wore C. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 41 points in 113 NHL games. Sounds like this also gives us fourth line depth if we need it Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Kevin Oklobzija @kevinoDandC 7m7 minutes ago The one-way deal simply assures Cal O'Reilly is well paid, and can be a depth player for the #Sabres. Has cleared waivers past 3 N.A. years. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Nice move. I'm sure it plays well with his brother. NHL money in the A. Quote
... Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 This is a leadership signing for Rochester. A good move in terms of teaching the kids the way to prepare for the game. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 This is a leadership signing for Rochester. A good move in terms of teaching the kids the way to prepare for the game. Also a culture setting. Cal has a similar personalty to ROR - now we have prospects being shown how to play the game and the level of effort that is expected from them in the AHL - sets them up nicely for us Quote
Hoss Posted July 1, 2015 Author Report Posted July 1, 2015 Murray denies this signing. Says they have talked. Quote
Kelly the Dog Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 I'm thinking that it is simply a formality until Ryan agrees to his contract. If something outrageous happens and Ryan is not signing the extension, perhaps Cal doesn't either. I think they probably agreed on everything, which is why it was reported. And as soon as Ryan is a sure thing, Cal will sign his. Not that they will even play on the same team, it's more of the organization. Quote
mphs mike Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 How old is Cal? Could he be a player/coach or some such? GMTM was talking about "discussing some different things" in response to the question about an Amerks coach Quote
Huckleberry Posted July 2, 2015 Report Posted July 2, 2015 How old is Cal? Could he be a player/coach or some such? GMTM was talking about "discussing some different things" in response to the question about an Amerks coach not old enough to hang them up i think, 29yrs old. Quote

nfreeman Posted July 2, 2015 Report Posted July 2, 2015 So we didn't sign Cal and this thread is still up? If it's OK with you, I'm going to leave it pinned on the theory that both Cal and ROR will sign today or tomorrow. Please direct all further observations on this matter to Mr. D. Regier c/o the Arizona Coyotes. Good day. Quote

shrader Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 I'm really not trying to be a dick here, but you really need to cite that stuff. Quote
Hoss Posted July 4, 2015 Author Report Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) I'm really not trying to be a dick here, but you really need to cite that stuff. It's from the team. The Buffalo Sabres. Straight from their website. A press release. For the public. With no name on it. Because it's their PR team. As I already said last time you said this. If SDS or a mod have a problem with it then I won't post it. Edited July 4, 2015 by Hoss Quote

Johnny DangerFace Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 I'm pretty sure press releases are meant to be distributed and are often not cited. Quote
