Tolstoy Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 This possible trade is proposed on the Hockey Writers site: http://thehockeywriters.com/the-leafs-most-logical-trade-partner-the-sabres/ Would you make the trade? I don't think I would, mainly because I would have a hard time parting with Reinhart. The kid is billed to be a future #1 center. Quote
ddaryl Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) no thanks. Don't see the value here as our team is built to grow together. We already have O'Reilly and Kane don't see the need to toss away Reinhart who should have a better career then both of those players early in his career and should blow them both away when he hits their ages Edited June 29, 2015 by ddaryl Quote
shrader Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 But hey, if you call it logical, then it must make sense! I think we may have found Toronto's wookie. Quote

Rasmus_ Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 LOL! NO! There is no reason you give that team any breathe. Phaneuf is a good player, but that contract is completely attrocious. You're telling me you want to add 15.25M on the cap while we have RFA's of Mark Pysyk, Johan Larsson, and a few others. O'Reilly is not signed. Next season: Lehner, Ristolainen, Girgensons and a few others are again RFA's. This makes literally 0 sense. Quote
inkman Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 I wouldn't add these guys for the league minimum. Quote
Robviously Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 Great idea. Thanks, Leafs Fans. Quote

Rico7 Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 Hahahahahaha. No way. Matter of fact, I hope the rest of the teams balk at trading for those two clowns so that the Laughs are stuck with them and their ridiculous salaries. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 This team has no room for a 40 goal scorer. I'll show myself out. Quote

Foot In The Crease! Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 I've got a better trade idea, Kessel for Hodgson and a 3rd. Quote
nucci Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 This team has no room for a 40 goal scorer. I'll show myself out. I don't see anywhere Kessel ever scored 40 goals. He's hit 30 (5) times but never 40. Quote
North Buffalo Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) Or Hodgson and a third for the gynie clamp but leaves keep 2/3 of his salary. Edited June 29, 2015 by North Buffalo Quote
z-man Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 I'm pretty sure the only way Reinhart gets traded is if someone outrageous becomes available, like Toews, Kane, etc. And even then maybe not. He was Tim Murray's first selection as a GM, when he basically had the pick of the litter of forwards. He believes in Reinhart, and isn't going to trade him for underachievers. Quote

Or an extremely valuable #1 defensemen. On another site there were names like Seth Jones thrown out there. I'd rather keep Sam. As he "WILL", be fine. Quote

In not dyslexic that I know of, but I totally read his several 40 assist seasons as 40 goal seasons. In any event, he's hit 37 twice. Close enough dammit! Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted June 29, 2015 Report Posted June 29, 2015 I don't like Kessel, so whatever I would be willing to trade for him would outmatched by another organization, preferably one that sucks. Quote
