TrueBlueGED Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Crosby was absolutely a whiny baby when he came into the league--he earned that reputation for a few years. But I think he has seriously curtailed it the last 5-6 or so.
bunomatic Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Still a whiney biatch to the zebras by almost any standard. Can't stand that side of his character but like watching him play when he's on his game. Too bad his supporting cast is lacking.
Randall Flagg Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 I remember a play during Sid's rookie year where some player almost decapitated him behind the play. The refs didn't see it so he went and told them "hey jsyk this guy tried to end my career" and, being a phenom, he was on camera at the time, and the Internet exploded with jealous rage declaring Sid to be a whiny brat. No one saw the play when it happened. Lots of players talk to refs as much as he does without getting targeted as much as he does, but they aren't on camera because they aren't the best in the world,
Hoss Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Malkin with a beauty tonight https://twitter.com/myregularface/status/670774928602497024
Thorner Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 I remember a play during Sid's rookie year where some player almost decapitated him behind the play. The refs didn't see it so he went and told them "hey jsyk this guy tried to end my career" and, being a phenom, he was on camera at the time, and the Internet exploded with jealous rage declaring Sid to be a whiny brat. No one saw the play when it happened. Lots of players talk to refs as much as he does without getting targeted as much as he does, but they aren't on camera because they aren't the best in the world, This. He did talk to the refs a lot more earlier in his career, and whether or not that was whining, it was certainly perceived to be so. But as said, in the last 6 or so years he has really cut back on that. He talks to the refs no more than any other captain around the league. People that say he is whining now are showing incredible bias. Specific example: watch Toews during the playoffs, or any time for that matter. Last year in the playoffs, he often had consistent conversation with the refs, and no one says anything. No mention of whining. It is the captain's job to be the player that can converse with the refs from time to time, and that is what most captains do.
bunomatic Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Love Toews but this conversation wasn't about him it was about that whiney biatch Sidney Crosby :P
woods-racer Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Any body catch the Crosby mugging of an Edmonton player in over time? Should have been a penalty shot, and was seconded by Pens announcers, not just fan biased. I'm sure Crosby's talk afterward was not constructive to the ref's. The bias is not dead because the fans won't let it die is not completely accurate.
Randall Flagg Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Benn and Seguin are ridiculously good.
Huckleberry Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Patrick Kane got the American point streak record up to 19 games.
WildCard Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) Malkin with a beauty tonight https://twitter.com/myregularface/status/670774928602497024 B-e-a-utiful. Brought me back to Gerbe's goal vs. Philly. And Kane's against Detroit when Chicago was down late in the 3rd trying to extend their season opening winning streak Edited November 29, 2015 by WildCard
CallawaySabres Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 Pretty big news IMO. When's the last time the Laughs have had a jersey change? I'm really hoping the Penguins go back to their Mario ones[/quote ] Yeah those Pens throwbacks may just be my favorite in the league....now LA needs to go back too
inkman Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) B-e-a-utiful. Brought me back to Gerbe's goal vs. Philly. And Kane's against Detroit when Chicago was down late in the 3rd trying to extend their season opening winning streakI said it when it happened and I'll say it again. Gerbe's goal was 90% luck. He doesn't even look where he's shooting it. At least Malkin snuck a peak. Edited November 29, 2015 by inkman
wjag Posted November 29, 2015 Report Posted November 29, 2015 I love that Dallas team this year. Seguin, Benn, Spezza and Klingman are a marvel. Truth in advertising: I have Seguin on one fantasy team and Benn on the other. One is always lighting the lamp and the other is assisting. Love it during 3-3 because it is almost guaranteed points.

Pittsburgh can whine,” the Blue Jackets coach told reporters. “Pittsburgh whines enough for the whole league, so there’s no room for any other team to whine. We just go about our business.” Edited November 30, 2015 by Huckleberry

WildCard Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 Price out 6 weeks with LBI, no surgey though
CallawaySabres Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 What the hell is going on with the Devils and their wins?

X. Benedict Posted November 30, 2015 Report Posted November 30, 2015 What the hell is going on with the Devils and their wins? Cory Schneider and boring hockey. The Devils model still works.
darksabre Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Garret Sparks, starting his first NHL game for the Leafs tonight, has the best pads and mask I have seen on a goalie in a very long time. I don't like the Leafs, but I would be happy to see this look more often. Outstanding stuff here. http://vine.co/v/iWz67hpIm5M/embed/simple
Hoss Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Since the last time somebody wore those pads, for sure. https://twitter.com/martybiron43/status/671506450703851520

Doohicksie Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Garret Sparks gets a shutout in his NHL debut for the Toronto Maple Leafs, for what it's worth.
