drnkirishone Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 i hope this is the new logo. i like it. i like it aloot
qwksndmonster Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 I like shield shaped things, and that is one majestic looking panther. Wayyyyyy better than their current logo. Now they have to leave Florida and ditch the lame Bar Mitzvah DJ sound effects they play over the PA. RAWRR RAWRR!
TrueBlueGED Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Like it. But would prefer that as a shoulder patch & just the cat head as the main logo. I agree with this. The panther looks really nice. Reminds me of Thundercats, even though it's not really similar at all.
MattPie Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) Its called football and no it isn't. Its not football for those of us who speak 'Merican. Fun fact: it was originally called Association Football to distinguish it from the various other games called football played at the time (such as Rugby Football, etc.). Association was shortened to soccer as is custom in the UK initially (as far as historians can figure), but as it became more popular it became the default "football". So in short, soccer is right and football is too generic to be meaningful. :) Edited April 28, 2016 by MattPie

Eleven Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Its not football for those of us who speak 'Merican. Or Canadian, for that matter. you know very little about football logo's , The La kings look the most like a football logo. Below is a typical football logo. What about the Arsenal one? Or the Norwich City one? Plenty of them don't have all that fancy crap around the shield.
josie Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Like it. But would prefer that as a shoulder patch & just the cat head as the main logo. I agree with this the most. It's a really great logo- I really really really like it. Super clean, pro looking, almost engraved metallic. But it's not really a center crest hockey style. Everyone says soccer, yeah, or a small emblem version of the real logo, whatever that would be. A different container shape (a circle or a shape that includes some sort of symbolism) would've been better, but idk, I think it's well designed. Looks like a car badge more than a hockey logo, but it'll grow on me. Could've been so much worse.

Maybe they could have used Lake Okeechobee as an outline. :)
Stoner Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Little known fact: the bottom point of the shield was designed to start exactly where Jagr's magnificent treasure mullet begins.
Huckleberry Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Or Canadian, for that matter. What about the Arsenal one? Or the Norwich City one? Plenty of them don't have all that fancy crap around the shield. sorry couldn't resist, that crap around the shield is with most northern European clubs
WildCard Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 They don't have that extra stuff on the jersey itself though
Eleven Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 They don't have that extra stuff on the jersey itself though Or if you google "arsenal logo."
Huckleberry Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Actually most teams don't have that on their jerseys. doesn't mean anything. The logo on a shirt doesn't really mean much for most fans , unless you are a hooligan and want to tattoo it on your back :p
Eleven Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 That nice green one won't be there next year.
WildCard Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 That nice green one won't be there next year. Is that Swan City? Are they being relegated?
Eleven Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Is that Swan City? Are they being relegated? Norwich City and very likely.
Taro T Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 I see a lot of shields 34 teams in EPL? Learn something new every day.
WildCard Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 34 teams in EPL? Learn something new every day. Does that include the relegated teams? I know there isn't 34
Eleven Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Does that include the relegated teams? I know there isn't 34 There are 20. Some of those aren't in the Prem right now.
WildCard Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 There are 20. Some of those aren't in the Prem right now. So what are they?
Taro T Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Does that include the relegated teams? I know there isn't 34 No data. You were the one that posted a picture w/ the EPL logo in the middle and 34 logos around it. If they aren't all EPL, why are they shown? There are 20. Some of those aren't in the Prem right now. That's more like I'd thought/expected.

If they aren't all EPL, why are they shown? Because the first two images on 'epl logos' contain 34 teams The others are part of the Football League, which I believe are just the relegated teams. WildCard Posted April 28, 2016 Report Posted April 28, 2016 Over what time frame did they relegate the other 14 teams? I don't know man, it's not really my sport.
