Eleven Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 I'd take him. But, we're so bad that it doesn't make sense to take on expiring contracts given we won't be a playoff team. A playoff contender might take a chance on him, though. I think he'd do a better job teaching our young 'uns than Franson and Colaiocovo.
Stoner Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 Something something funyuns something tweet something that kid can skate.

Taro T Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 The day after he scores two goals, too. What the hell, pick him up. Don't see any downside to this. At worst, the draft pick next year is a few slots lower but they win several more games by having the pp point man Franson was supposed to be. At best, he shows he can still be top 4 and they get to negotiate w/ him for 4 months prior to July 1. If he ends up quicker but as effective as Franson then it's a wash. Would be very surprised if they grab him.
MattPie Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 (edited) He's a LHD! **ducks** He plays for the Kings (for the moment), not the Ducks. ;) (I'd give his agent a call and see what happens, a LHD that's pretty good wouldn't hurt) Edited February 10, 2016 by MattPie
spndnchz Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 Are we still paying him? Until 2028 but he's not on our cap anymore.
That Aud Smell Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 Until 2028 but he's not on our cap anymore. that is some annuity, man. weren't there some fair indications that terry pegula admired hoff and that was maybe part of the reason he was brought here to help put the team over the hump? /pages PA

Mustache of God Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 Haven't seen it mentioned here (and am wondering if it has it's own thread) but the Leafs sent Princess Phaneuf to the Sens yesterday in a 9-player deal which is essentially freeing up cap-space to sign Stamkos in FA. http://www.tsn.ca/maple-leafs-deal-d-phaneuf-to-senators-in-nine-player-trade-1.435458

Giving it one final pass. It's a summary of the trial thread, really, but I do get around to Ehrhoff. Stand by...
Stoner Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Power went out. Word file was unsaved. Crap.
darksabre Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Power went out. Word file was unsaved. Crap. Yeah okay Darcy.
dudacek Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Has Ehrhoff really fallen this far? If so, another outstanding personnel decision by Murray. A seriously good take.
JJFIVEOH Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 I'm wondering if Hoff's concussions in Pittsburgh has done him in.
bunomatic Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 I've heard the Hoff is very popular in Germany.
Hoss Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 Ehrhoff clears waivers. Dreger and McKenzie speculating teams will now call LA to see if they'll retain salary to facilitate a deal.
