TrueBlueGED Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 He's 1000% worth picking up. Worst case scenario is he takes the Weber/Colaiacovo roster spot next season.
wjag Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Kindl stats for this year: 22 GP, 2G, 3A, +1, 33SOG, ~16m TOI
WildCard Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 I'll honestly be pissed if we don't take a run at him.
WildCard Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Is not claiming him indication of a subtle tank?
Eleven Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Is not claiming him indication of a subtle tank? I knew someone was going to say this! Maybe not. I'm sure Detroit shopped him, right? Edited January 9, 2016 by Eleven
TrueBlueGED Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Yea, he's not amazing or anything, but I think you could do worse (and we may be in the process of doing this) for a #6/7 guy. Even if he's a total bust, we can afford his cap hit for a year.
JJFIVEOH Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 There's a reason why he's on waivers. Nobody's happy with our #3-#8 defensemen.............. why bring in more who will be just as inept?
TrueBlueGED Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Is not claiming him indication of a subtle tank? Eh, I don't think so. At $2 million still next season for a guy who might be AHL bad, it's not totally free, so I can see arguments against. There's a reason why he's on waivers. Nobody's happy with our #3-#8 defensemen.............. why bring in more who will be just as inept? Just because he wasn't good enough in Detroit doesn't mean he wouldn't be better than our 6/7 slot. Also, maybe his not totally inept but Detroit wants the cap space for another move. Or maybe they just are making a mistake.

dudacek Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 I remember Murray talking about waiver claims last year and how they usually don't make sense for contact reasons. If he's better than Carlo and Mike, and I think he is, Id do it.
BetterDays06 Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC Kindl (DET) on waivers Hmmmmmm.... Lefty dman. 28 years old. One year left beyond this season at $2.4M... This is the first appealing waiver of the year for me. When is the waiver deadline on him?
Hoss Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 When is the waiver deadline on him? We should know tomorrow at noon.
Hoss Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 I guess nobody claimed him :D We'll know tomorrow
WildCard Posted January 9, 2016 Report Posted January 9, 2016 I guess nobody claimed him :DI see what you did there
Huckleberry Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) to be honest unless you send McCabe / weber / Colo down it makes no sense claiming him. Edit: there is rumoured to be interest in Gorges. Edited January 10, 2016 by Huckleberry
Iron Crotch Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Colin Wilson is out hurt. That puts Cody Hodgson back into the Preds lineup. The Filip Forsberg - Ryan Johansen - James Neal lines is ridiculously good.
