dudacek Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Radio guys saying whispers of Lucic to LA? That makes no sense.
TrueBlueGED Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Radio guys saying whispers of Lucic to LA? That makes no sense. Please be Lucic for Richards. Please please please.
nobody Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Sounds like the Bruins will be getting the Kings #13. So the Bruins very soon could have the 13th, 14th & 15th picks.

LGR4GM Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun 3m3 minutes ago Indeed, it's Martin Jones, plus 13th overall pick and prospect Colin Miller for Milan Lucic
Robviously Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 The new Coyotes jerseys are out, and they're pretty bad. https://twitter.com/RoccoJ95/status/614540375915671552

I thought they had one of the better jerseys in the league already, now they've butchered it
Hoss Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 I think those jerseys are pretty solid. Glad they kept a top five logo.
darksabre Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 Josie just pointed out to me that Chara is 38 years old. It doesn't seem possible but you gotta figure he's retiring soon. Which makes Boston's moves today even weirder.

spndnchz Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 trading Hamilton is like trading Myers imb.
Marvelo Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 Jack Edwards take on the Bruins trade: https://twitter.com/RealJackEdwards/status/614548386507804672
deluca67 Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 trading Hamilton is like trading Myers imb. Myers' career was stagnant, Hamilton's career has been on a steady incline. Completely different situations.
wjag Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 http://www.wgr550.com/The-NHL-approves-some-rule-changes/21674665 Good detail here. Defender must put stick down first on all faceoffs. I really like that rule. This is an interesting point buried in the writeup: "Clubs who pull their goaltender for an extra attacker during the overtime period (other than on a delayed penalty) will be subject to the potential forfeiture of their one (1) point earned for the tie at the end of regulation in the event the opposing team scores into the empty net."

Hasn't that been the case for some time now?
SwampD Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 Hasn't that been the case for some time now? That's what I thought, as well.
wjag Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 Hasn't that been the case for some time now? That's what I thought, as well. No kidding.. Never knew that.
Eleven Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 No kidding.. Never knew that. So, I'm not the only one learning big things today.
wjag Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 So, I'm not the only one learning big things today. Has it ever happened? I don't think I have ever seen it live or reported on.. I can only envision one reason for doing it. An ABSOLUTE must win. Seems crazy to legislate out what is highly unlikely to begin with.
bunomatic Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 This morning I think we can honestly say the hockey world ( specifically players ) has taken notice of what they're doing in Buffalo. That is hugely significant moving forward. They said they would make Buffalo a destination and I think draft day 1 went a long way towards doing that.

An ABSOLUTE must win. Seems crazy to legislate out what is highly unlikely to begin with. It does seem a little silly. The only time it would make sense if it's the last game of the year and a shootout win only ties you in points with a team getting into the playoffs but they have the same number of ROWs as you but would win the tiebreaker so you have to get one more ROW to get in. That happens all the time, doesn't it?
