In any event, it's an MVP-caliber season if he keeps it up, especially since Toews is having a bit of a down year offensively.

My take, from 1950 till late nineties, goalies have very little changes in blocker, mitt, leg pads. There was an slow evolution in masks and body armor. From~ 1999 til now. Wow. There's a whole lot more of all that. Everything must be 50% bigger.

Made the playoffs last year and are in the playoff race this year. 4-3-3 last 10. Maybe more than meets the eye here. Still, as fans of a franchise that kept the same guy around for 16 years, this is more than a little refreshing.
