That might do it.

All of you suck.  I bring some levity to this thread--with a DOUBLE pun no less--and wow.

I commend you to yourselves.  You deserve it.

Bringing levity can be a tankless job.

Kane ties Crosby's point streak at 25 games with a goal tonight. Dude is playing free and easy ever since that legal matter ended

He was playing above a PPG pace even while that was going on, wasn't he? In any event, it's an MVP-caliber season if he keeps it up, especially since Toews is having a bit of a down year offensively.

What's significant about Crosby's streak?

I think he's next in line to be eclipsed on the list of longest streaks in NHL history. If he passes Crosby he'll be 10th longest. Ahead of him I think is a 3 way tie at 28 games.

Thanks Eleven that was a nice find.

My take, from 1950 till late nineties, goalies have very little changes in blocker,  mitt, leg pads. There was an slow evolution in masks and body armor.

From~ 1999 til now. Wow. There's a whole lot more of all that. Everything must be 50% bigger.

Maybe you'll like this video better.  Every Cup-winning goal since 1950.

Trigger warning at 11:13.

Bring back the cardboard cutouts in goal. Yikes.

You missed one trigger warning. You'll be served with papers later today.

Pens fired their coach and hired Mike Sullivan, their AHL coach.

Seems a little harsh. Made the playoffs last year and are in the playoff race this year. 4-3-3 last 10. Maybe more than meets the eye here. Still, as fans of a franchise that kept the same guy around for 16 years, this is more than a little refreshing.

Yah, cause that will give them a defense.

Yup. Criminally, criminally wasting generational talent on that roster because they assemble a team you would for fantasy hockey
