deluca67 Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Yea so you trade RNH or Draisaitl or literally anyone else on their roster before Connor McDavid. Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 2m2 minutes ago CGY has fully entered the race to acquire Dougie Hamilton from BOS and may be a top contender to get him. #TSN Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC 38s39 seconds ago Hearing trade call between Boston and Calgary. Working on details but sounds like that's where Hamilton is going. This would be huge for the Flames. Quote
shrader Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Jankowski somehow involved in that? I picture him being a part of that deal. Quote

Hoss Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 My guess on the Hamilton trade: CGY 1st and Hudler are involved. Quote
nfreeman Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 My guess on the Hamilton trade: CGY 1st and Hudler are involved. Not Hudler -- too old & expensive. Quote
shrader Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 My guess on the Hamilton trade: CGY 1st and Hudler are involved. That seems like a big contract for them to take on, even just for one year. They're fans are going to hate that return with the blue line purge they've had in the last two seasons. In that case, please let this happen. Quote
deluca67 Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Not Hudler -- too old & expensive. Sam Bennett? Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 So the demise of the Bruins is in full swing and I feel really happy about that. Quote

LGR4GM Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Sam Bennett? Doubt it. Bennett is part of their future. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Looking at the Flames roster, they don't seem like a natural trade partner here. Surely they wouldn't part with Monahan or Bennett, right? My best guess is Brodie and their 1st are the centerpieces. Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Christian Roatis @CRoatis 20s21 seconds ago My guess: 1st rounder and one of Klimchuck/Poirier Quote

I would think the whole point of getting Hamilton is to have a defense stud on the same age timeline with Monahan and Bennett. Similar to the Sabres plan but further along IMO. Quote

nfreeman Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Sam Bennett? From Boston's perspective, absolutely, but probably not OK from Calgary's perspective. Quote
shrader Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 If Hamilton does become a star, the legend of that Bruins Kessel trade will live on forever. They dump him for two draft picks and then dump those two players right before they become superstars. Quote
Hoss Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 Only draft picks to Boston (including 15) Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Only draft picks to Boston (including 15) What in the world. Dear Tim Murray: this is why you don't trade #21 for Robin Lehner. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Only draft picks to Boston (including 15) Wow. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) Jonathan Willis @JonathanWillis 4s5 seconds ago If the #Flames seriously got Hamilton for the No. 15, No. 45 and No. 52 selections, it's an utter disaster for the #Bruins Seriously. Ding ######, the Bruins are dead. Edit: And I really wish we'd have had the ammunition to beat that offer. We easily could have with #21 still in the fold, I think. shrader Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Maybe they trade all three to move up to #1 and pick Eichel. :P Quote
