Brawndo Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 How about Brodin from Minny? Its speculated that they are going to lose a Top 4 D for nothing in expansion and Brodin is the most likely target, why not offer a deadline package to acquire him? The question is would Fletcher want to trade him in season with the WC so open this year. http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/article/which-teams-will-be-hurt-most-if-the-salary-cap-stays-flat Quote
Derrico Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 I agree with this. Yes, they have Babcock. They also have a pretty good, young team. They did it the right way. We're still in recovery. How did they do it the right way? Got lucky with ping pong balls? They traded away everyone and their grandmother just like us during their tank year. Only difference is they had been bad for so long that they had high picks like Kadri already in their system. Quote
Sabel79 Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 This enraged me. The merits / ethics of the Sabres tank can be debated and disagreed upon by reasonable people. That the Leafs did the exact same thing and seem to have been given a pass by everyone, their mother, and the Canadian media is just wrong. Quote
WildCard Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 Gimme gimme gimme. What would you pay for him? How about Brodin from Minny? I don't know a lot about Brodin, but it looks like a situation where we might be able to take advantage of Minny's situation Saw an interesting idea today: Fleury to Dallas? Quote
Doohicksie Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 That strikes me as funny for some reason. Something like, "Dallas: Where top flight goalies go to ruin their careers." Quote
WildCard Posted February 8, 2017 Report Posted February 8, 2017 (edited) Friedman's 30 Thoughts On Gostisbehere: very early interesting parallel to Montreal and P.K. Subban. It’s very clear that he’s the target of everyone who faces the Flyers, and his strengths are being attacked just like Klingberg’s. It becomes a battle of wills. You’ve got Dave Hakstol saying, “This is what the next step has to be.” You’ve got Gostisbehere saying: “This worked just fine for me, thanks.” You grind away to find a solution. Just because it didn’t work between Montreal and Subban doesn’t mean Philadelphia will go the nuclear option. Vincent Lecavalier and John Tortorella figured it out. Hextall strikes me as the type of guy who will wait as long as he can. You know who else is going to go through this soon? Mike Babcock and William Nylander. Edited February 8, 2017 by WildCard Quote
Brawndo Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 TSN Trade List http://www.tsn.ca/tsn-hockey-s-trade-bait-1.203546 Gionta has dropped to 25, Kulikov at 16 and Kane makes his debut at 9. Quote
Doohicksie Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 Friedman's 30 Thoughts You know who else is going to go through this soon? Mike Babcock and William Nylander. Maybe we should stock up on Nylanders if the price is right. Quote
ParkMeadow Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 Maybe we should stock up on Nylanders if the price is right. It would double our chances that one of them might work out! Loving Scandella after that rush against the Hawks! Quote
Doohicksie Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 It'd be almost like having the Sedins. Quote

Brawndo Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 From Adrian Dater Carolina in town again to scout Avs game tonight. I do believe Hurricanes on short list for possible trade team with Avs. Bruins here too Quote
dudacek Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 Canes with all those young D and a glaring need for a star centre have to be at the front of the Duchene list. And he's got a great contract too, which is a must in Carolina. Quote

Brawndo Posted February 11, 2017 Report Posted February 11, 2017 Sabres Director of Scouting Rob Murphy was at the Tampa-Wild Game Tonight Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 11, 2017 Report Posted February 11, 2017 Sabres Director of Scouting Rob Murphy was at the Tampa-Wild Game Tonight I noticed Tampa had a scout listed at the Ducks-Sabres game. Tampa looking for D help? Is that right? If so I wonder if Kulikov is getting that much attention given Tampa's position in the standings. Of course, I could have everything upside down and the Sabres are actually looking to take a peak at Minny. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 13, 2017 Report Posted February 13, 2017 Former NHL coach says #Bruins and #Avs are close to a deal. Posted by a writer who covers the OHL. Landeskog to Bruins perhaps? Quote
Derrico Posted February 13, 2017 Report Posted February 13, 2017 Former NHL coach says #Bruins and #Avs are close to a deal. Posted by a writer who covers the OHL. Landeskog to Bruins perhaps? Just fired their long time coach. GM knows it's on him now. I could easily see a big move like this coming. Quote
North Buffalo Posted February 13, 2017 Report Posted February 13, 2017 So if its Eichel as the problem does GMTM trade him to Boston for two first rounders and one of their young D? Quote

Randall Flagg Posted February 13, 2017 Report Posted February 13, 2017 So if its Eichel as the problem does GMTM trade him to Boston for two first rounders and one of their young D? I would sign off and never give this team a single moment of attention ever again. Quote
