LGR4GM Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I kinda of like the idea of Edmonton trading for #3. RNH for #3? Would you do that? I would think I might in this draft. Actually if I was Edmonton I would pick either Hall, RNH or Draisaitl and trade for #3. With that pick you could take Hanifin or Marner (Strome not so much) and actually start to build a real team. IMPO 1 of edmontons many problems is they draft a ton of finesse and lack hard working grit. Quote

Convince Hanifin to play right away if they want to. Have Nurse and Hanifin anchor the top pairing for years. Quote
Lanny Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) Damn @CraigCustance: One of the offers Coyotes are mulling for the No. 3 pick is for a young player good enough they wouldn't get another 1st back in the deal. Sam Reinhart? ???? Edited June 24, 2015 by Lanny Quote
deluca67 Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 What would the thought be if it turned out to be Reinhart for the #3 pick? Would anyone make that deal? Quote
thewookie1 Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 The only way I take 3 for Reinhart is if we take Hanifan thus making Zadorov expendable to acquire ROR Quote
WildCard Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Sam Reinhart? Now that, that would be something. I'm inclined to doubt it just because Murray seems to be going after the same thing as Arizona right now, young, established players. But it's definitely an interesting thought What would the thought be if it turned out to be Reinhart for the #3 pick? Would anyone make that deal? Nope. We've needed centers for a long time, and Reinhart's proven more than capable in his junior career to be a fantastic 2nd line center. I'd have to be getting more back, like Domi or OEL in a package, and I doubt Arizona wants to do that. Quote
dudacek Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Draisaitl is the obvious, IMO, although the Oilers would add. I get the used car analogy, but I like his game better than Strome's. Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I doubt it is Reinhart. Murray likes him a lot and he has improved a ton this past season. No reason to trade him. I still like the idea of RNH for #3. Then Edm could draft Marner to play on McDavid's wing. That would be something. Quote
Taro T Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 What would the thought be if it turned out to be Reinhart for the #3 pick? Would anyone make that deal? I'd give it serious consideration. Quote

They'd be all over Hanifin. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Certainly not to take Strome. It would have to be Hanifan and you would have to think he was special. Reinhart -> #3 -> Hanifin Bogosian/Zadorov/whatever -> O'Reilly I'll hang up and listen :p Quote

Lanny Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 What would the thought be if it turned out to be Reinhart for the #3 pick? Would anyone make that deal? I'd be all for it assuming it was part of something bigger, like trading a dman for another forward. Quote
LGR4GM Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/maloney-weighing-options-with-third-overall-pick/ “There’s been so many different things kind of pushed my way of late I can honestly sit here and say I don’t know (what I’ll do),” he told Sportsnet on Tuesday. “There’s one team really aggressively trying to get No. 3, and we’d trade down a bit. “I’ve had two offers outright for that pick.” Don Maloney has two solid offers it sounds like. dudacek Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I think it is going to be three years before people start really appreciating Samson around here. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I think it is going to be three years before people start really appreciating Samson around here. I'm not sure he'll ever be fully appreciated for what he brings to the table. His cerebral game just doesn't pop visually (other than the passing), and through only TV viewing it'll be even harder to see the little things. Quote
bunomatic Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Absolutely loved Sams game in the world junior tourney. I don't want to give that up. Quote
WildCard Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Craig Custance: Bruins GM Don Sweeney hasn't ruled out trading Carl Soderberg's negotiating rights. At least two teams considering it. https://twitter.com/CraigCustance Quote
dudacek Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 Hopefully this is good news on our goalie search. Price is apparently favouring the buyers: https://mobile.twitter.com/ArponBasu Quote
thewookie1 Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 I don't under appreciate Reinhart, just the dots seem to line up nicely with all the ROR talk. Personally I'd rather just keep Reinhart and Zadorov and not get ROR at this point. Quote
PotentPowerPlay22 Posted June 24, 2015 Report Posted June 24, 2015 (edited) Perhaps. Definitely 0 chance Buffalo trades Reinhart for anyone at #3. Reinhart is not going to be traded. Zero chance. Please Friday! Get here now and stop this nonsense! Edited June 24, 2015 by PotentPowerPlay22 Quote
