Drunkard Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 I think you could get the Flames listening on any 3 of those players, or at least a combo of them and Bogo or someone Wonder if we could send them Kane and Bogosian for Hamilton or is that bordering on the HF boards level of larceny when it comes to trade proposals? Me thinks they might not be too keen on that. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 I'd trade our first for Hamilton.... May lottery protect it.... Why not? He's a legitimate #3-4 D man, helps immediately and is on a fairly long contract as I recall. Why draft someone that can't step in and needs development? Quote
WildCard Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 If I'm trading for Hamilton he better be a 1-2 guy Quote
nfreeman Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 If Calgary is ready to trade Hamilton, that means there are 2 franchises that have gotten a close look at him and decided to move on. He's got 3 more years after this one at $5.75MM per year. Buyer beware. Quote
WildCard Posted December 1, 2016 Report Posted December 1, 2016 Dreger: Wasn't formal offer, but I think #Coyotes at time were offering a pick and perhaps Duclair for Hamilton. #Flames weren't interested. http://thehockeywriters.com/nhl-news-calgary-flames-dougie-hamilton-colorado-avalanche-gabriel-landeskog-out-and-more/ If Chayka wants Hamilton, I want Hamilton Quote

The same Sweeney that shelled out money for Backes on an absurd term, but waved goodbye to Eriksson? Eriksson got 6 x $36M, Backes got 5 x $30M. Backes is 32, Eriksson is 31 Not great contracts either way, but I don't really value Sweeney's judgement in anything. Quote
LGR4GM Posted December 1, 2016 Report Posted December 1, 2016 Boston is a dumpster fire of dumb currently. Quote
Ducky Posted December 1, 2016 Report Posted December 1, 2016 Flames aren't moving Hamilton.....especially for a first.....do you remember what they gave up for him? Quote

Not disagreeing with you exactly, but Erikson has been bad out here, and his contract is particularly painful for a Vancouver team that is a long way from being good. Brawndo Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Duchenne or Landeskog anyone? It's speculation from a writer, but it would be nice addition to the roster http://www.denverpost.com/2016/12/06/avs-mailbag-december-6-2016/ Quote

Duchene on that top line with ROR and Okposo? 1st, Baptise, Kane get us close? Quote
WildCard Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 They're available for sure. It's been speculated for nearly two years now that those two are on the block, from a variety of sources. Where there's that much smoke, there's fire Quote
beerme1 Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 hnnng yes. Duchene on that top line with ROR and Okposo? 1st, Baptise, Kane get us close? Whew that's tough to digest but it ain't gonna be cheap. How bout a 1st, two seconds, Baptiste and Kane for Duchene and...Nikita Zadorov. Return to Glory :-) Quote

North Buffalo Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Which one do you take, Duchene or Landeskog? Duchene is older.. depends on contract situation... Jeez different style of player. At this point, I think Gabriel... but it depends on the price... not sure I'd pay as much for Duchene. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Which one do you take, Duchene or Landeskog? Landeskog. I love love love love love the fit of Landeskog on Eichel's LW, and it frees up Nylander to play with ROR and Okposo, adding some pure finish on that line. Nylander-O'Reilly-Okposo Landeskog-Eichel-Reinhart Droooooooooool. Don't think we have the assets to pull it off without Nylander going back the other way though :( Quote
Taro T Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Which one do you take, Duchene or Landeskog? Landeskog unless the price tag is significantly lower for Duchene. Plus they could have Landeskog specials at the Gate on Sabres' nights. ;) Quote
Randall Flagg Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 Duchene's speed with ROR and KO would be absolutely devastating. ROR-Duchene-Okposo Nylander-Eichel-Reinhart Nylander and Jack, in the preseason for a game or two, was awesome and I can't wait to see them play together. The speed and skill in this top six is ridiculous. Landeskog is slower, but would be like an elite Zemgus, making space and being a wrecking ball while also finishing skill plays and scoring regularly on feeds from Jack and Sam, getting Nylander ice time with those two forechecking demons. Either guy would be a huge add, and would cost us way too much, most likely. I'd love either on this team. Quote
