Brawndo Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 From Bob McKenzie Quick update, FWIW, my understanding is whatever dialogue VAN/BUF had on Evander Kane, and there was talk, it's no longer being pursued. Quote
beerme1 Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 From Bob McKenzie Quick update, FWIW, my understanding is whatever dialogue VAN/BUF had on Evander Kane, and there was talk, it's no longer being pursued. Like I mentioned earlier, Kane ain't going anywhere. Lets get him straightened out here and contributing. We'll never get the value we should so play it out and get productive here jackass. Quote
apuszczalowski Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 Apparently Vancouver walked away from the deal after they found Murray's asking price too much. They were offering Sbisa and buffalo wanted others and picks according to a report last night Quote
Randall Flagg Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 Which confirms that Kane's value is less than zero, and not Tanev + Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 The sad truth is is that we have nothing but our 1st next year to offer in trades right now. Kane has no value, Ennis, Bogo, Kulikov are injured. Moulson's contract bars any trade. Girgensons and Foligno won't garner very much and none of the kids have been impressive enough to have big value. No one wants Gorges or Franson. Anyone someone would want, like McCabe or Larson aren't going to be traded. We also don't have any cap room. This is not a good situation from which to make a move or two now to improve the team. qwksndmonster Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 I think Foligno has a lot of trade value right now. Quote
Thorner Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 Which confirms that Kane's value is less than zero, and not Tanev + No, it confirms that his value is Sbisa. Quote
beerme1 Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 I think Foligno has a lot of trade value right now. I aagree. I'm not interested in trading him at this point. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 No, it confirms that his value is Sbisa. Who is quite possibly the worst defenseman to suit up regularly over the past few seasons. Quote
Thorner Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 Who is quite possibly the worst defenseman to suit up regularly over the past few seasons. *sigh* Alright, break time. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 *sigh* Alright, break time. Even if you don't agree with that, he has among the worst value of any NHL player, with that contract. Like, hfboard poll consensus worst value ;) Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 No, it confirms that his value is Sbisa. Beat me to it ... :flirt: Quote
Randall Flagg Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 Sbisa IS negative value. If the Canucks were in a situation where they needed cap space and were shooting for playoffs, he's the kind of guy that you throw a pick with to get another team to take him off your hands. The fact that a 20 goal winger was valued at the same level as Luca Sbisa by perhaps the only guy in the league willing to make a move for him and a guy known for his crafting of terrible trades means Kane's value is down the toilet, and certainly isn't within a thousand miles of some of the deals proposed in this thread. inkman Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 Friedman with some info on #9 during 2nd intermission of HNIC, says Vancouver called but price was too high Confirming what is out there It would be super cool if the same rumor from 3 months ago wouldn't keep getting reported as new or ongoing Quote
Jacque Richard Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 I think Foligno has a lot of trade value right now.i would not trade him LeSean McCoy?this is a hockey board right. Why would comment that Quote

Brawndo Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 It would be super cool if the same rumor from 3 months ago wouldn't keep getting reported as new or ongoing Friedman reported this tonight during the second intermission of the Jets and Canes Game Tonight on SportsNet. Considering he and McKenzie are the top insiders in the business and both spoke about The Canucks Interest in Kane in the past seven days it appears there was a valid reason for the rumor to be recirculated.
