While Legwand and McGinn have attracted interest from teams looking to bolster their forward corps, contending teams are also keeping tabs on veteran defenseman Josh Gorges. Gorges, 31, has two-years left on his contract beyond this season and earns $3.9 million per season.

Whoever signs Ladd is going to be making a big mistake, if he gets anywhere close to what it was reported that he wants. Guy is already on a steep decline.

That's too bad about Yandle, although I suppose if we take a run at him it would be once he reaches free agency this offseason.

I honestly have no faith in getting Yandle. I don't see what the Rangers could want from us to win now, and I don't see him coming here.

Don't think he'd want to come in the summer? Could be a pretty good situation for him here. Although I never get my hopes up for UFAs because it so often leads to disappointment when you aren't able to get the ones you are focusing on. Oduya comes to mind, for a recent example.

I think Chicago should look at Legwand, my Dad is a big Hawks fan and says their PK is terrible. He's been in that division most of his career, and could help kill penalties for them. Think Handzus. Plus maybe he could get a Cup then :)  I think he certainly deserves one after the solid job he did this year as a vet presence who was frankly a throw in cap dump.

Any interest in Andrew Shaw?  24 yrs old, similar to McGinn but with 2 Cup rings. After all Chicago has no hope of retaining him likely

What about

Legwand for Bickell, 1st, and CBJ 4th

Bickell has 1 year after this one, bury him with Moulson, kinda kills the Stamkos idea but it'd certainly make the Amerks pretty good :)  More so though we'd get a 1st and if we can pull of McGinn and a 3rd for a 1st too we'd have ammo to get that defenseman we desire.

How bad is Bickell's contract to bring back a first and fourth for Legwand?!
