Hoss Posted January 10, 2016 Author Report Posted January 10, 2016 http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/headlines-what-do-the-lightning-want-for-drouin/ Some notes: - Tampa wants a young player under control for Drouin. Unlikely to take any salary back. Have talked about Rob Fabbri from St. Louis - Nashville has called on Drouin - Blues talked about Shattenkirk for Johansen - Yandle will be moved by the deadline, doesn't appear to want to stay in NY with the Rangers - All Star voting will change next season to prevent John Scotts - Lehner should be back in the NHL next weekend Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Just perusing a Tampa board for thoughts on Drouin and most seem to blame Cooper for his career to this point. Also came across an interesting stat: he has played 22 games in which he's gotten 15+ minutes of ice time and has 18 points. He's had 17+ minutes 6 times and has 7 points. Me likey. Quote

Hoss Posted January 10, 2016 Author Report Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC Unusual: VAN sends out release indicating it is exploring trade options for Chris Higgins. Has local connections (his father went to St. Bonaventure). That said - he doesn't really fill any needs here. I don't see a fit. One year at $2.5M left. Edited January 10, 2016 by Hoss Quote

Chris Higgins is a Sabre killer, but he is probably the most average hockey player I've ever seen. Quote
Brawndo Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 Friedman on the radio this AM “Buffalo has got a situation where they’re a little overloaded at the American Hockey League level. They’ve got some extra veterans in Rochester and some of those guys have to sit. And I think you could see maybe a small deal there, where maybe a lower-tier NHL player is dealt as part of that.” Quote
Huckleberry Posted January 11, 2016 Report Posted January 11, 2016 Bruins fans seem to think Yandle wants to go to boston during the summer. I'm just left wondering how they'll fit him in under the cap. Quote

WildCard Posted January 12, 2016 Report Posted January 12, 2016 Outstanding, d4rk I wonder what the return is for Ennis. Murray has to be looking for player-for-player deals, especially seeing as it looks more and more like we're getting another top 5 talent Quote
North Buffalo Posted January 12, 2016 Report Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) Anyone think Tyler could get us a puck moving top 4 D in return? Shiite used "us, the Sabres Edited January 12, 2016 by North Buffalo Quote
