TrueBlueGED Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 LOL. Bob McKenzie Twitter... Vogl says things going well for Buffalo. Coaching colleague in NHL of Babcock's says he firmly believes Babcock stays in Detroit. All talk yesterday was only Detroit and Buffalo. Now hearing Toronto not totally out of it. So nobody has any idea what's going on? Sounds about right. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Can anyone blame us?Yes. When things go well you are supposed to cheer up. Quote
Kruppstahl Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 So nobody has any idea what's going on? Sounds about right. Yep. That was McKenzie's point. I am starting to think things may have heated up and gotten complicated at the 11th hour and we may not hear news for some time. Quote
grinreaper Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 I know as soon as I go down for a coffee the news will break. How do you like it? Black? Columbian? With a little cream? Half and half? Quote
Samson's Flow Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 So nobody has any idea what's going on? Sounds about right. Exactly. Hence why this thread and others have gone off the rocker lately. Without any new news to keep the story moving, we get speculation and anarchy. Quote
grinreaper Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 You can always go down for a hamburger He'll gladly "pay you" next tuesday for a hamburger today. Quote

nfreeman Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Could Toronto be trying to... co*k-block the Sabres? Quote
Kruppstahl Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Could Toronto be trying to... co*k-block the Sabres? Absolutely. Their organization is a lot further back than Buffalo right now, but TO is TO. If they are going to match a crazy Pegula offer, Babcock could easily chose to go there. If he brings a Cup to that town down the line, they will erect a 150 story monument of his likeness in downtown, and baby boys will be named "Michael" for generations to come in his honor. If TO is really in a bidding war, let's hope they drop out of it! Now that's funny See post 164. What won't be funny is if Toronto poaches this guy on the day of his decision. Quote

If it's come down to a last second bidding war after Pegula agreed to make Babcock the historical offer in the first place, then I say good riddance Mike Babcock. Pegula should walk away with his head high and his honor intact. GO SABRES!!! Quote
ddaryl Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Based on.... Toronto doesn't have crap for the rebuild, and they don't have a harbor center. I don't believe the report is even true and its just media BS or someone leaking a made up story for whatever reason Quote

nfreeman Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Dreger? The bidding war? I think chz was referring to the currency. I'm inclined to agree. But as I said, if there's truth to it, if I'm Pegula, I take my offer off the table. GO SABRES!!! That would be petulant and short-sighted. Toronto has been in on this from the get-go, and Babcock has been clear from the get-go that he is going to be deliberate and consider all of his options. Toronto doesn't have crap for the rebuild, and they don't have a harbor center. I don't believe the report is even true and its just media BS or someone leaking a made up story for whatever reason Are you joking? Quote
