qwksndmonster Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Truth be told, I don't think he can handle Tampa's speed. Truth. He's been JAG in this series. Nowhere near the tough violent bastard (with beautiful eyes) he usually is. That game was awesome. Goals evvvvvverywhere. Tampa's forwards are just too good. Quote
LabattBlue Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 To all the hockey purists...was this an awful game because 11 goals were scored? I'd take 5-4 and 6-5 games every day of the week(especially in the regular season) over 1-0, 2-1, 2-0, etc.... snoozefests. Quote

They opened it up in the second and third. Quote

It would make the occasional shutout that much more impressive. Quote
drnkirishone Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 Is a puck off of a skate "directed, batted, or thrown," considering that the standard for a puck "directed" off of a skate is a "distinct kicking motion"?a puck off the skate is allowed even when directed in, as long as it is not a distinct kicking motion. Thats why I am saying they made a judgement call to extend this rule to heading the puck in. Kicking motions and punching the puck in can be explained away for goalie safety. How is heading the puck in harmful to a goalie? Quote

Exactly. When the Lightning went up 5-4 in the 3rd i was quite confident that the Rangers would answer. I don't remember the last time I was sure a team would tie it up, let alone the rangers. Quote

And the Rags fans were noticeable last night anyway. Quote
MattPie Posted May 21, 2015 Report Posted May 21, 2015 So stupid. And the Rags fans were noticeable last night anyway. I'm going to be mad when Buffalo plays Philly in the playoffs and I can't buy tickets in Buffalo because of my address. Quote

smj Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Does anyone else think the Rangers-Lightning series has been fantastic? That's the way hockey should be played. Fast and exciting with many players showing great skill. There might be a lot of goals scored but each goalie has made great saves because there are so many great opportunities. Wide-open and high scoring is so much more fun to watch! If every game were played like this series hockey would be so much more popular. It's almost like the 80's again. Quote
Iron Crotch Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 He doesn't get talked about much, but Frederik Andersen has been great in net for the Ducks. Quote
bunomatic Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Kane came very close to scoring with 5 seconds left. Shat ! Quote
SwampD Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 There is no way that Getzlaf doesn't end up on TV once his hockeyin' is done. Quote
Eleven Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 First period: Boring Rags hockey. Tampa needs to play its game not only to win, but to open it up enough to entertain those of us watching. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 Travis Yost @travisyost 8m8 minutes ago When do the 'Where is Ryan Callahan?!' stories go to print? I would be shocked, shocked to learn player shivving is only for a select few. I agree with this guy. Quote
Ogre Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 GD rags. I don't fully understand why. I really want to see Tampa take the east. Quote
Hoss Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie Now that NYR-TB series will go at least 6 games (barring comeback in final minutes) Stanley Cup final start date expected to be Wed. June 3. That would leave the end date somewhere around the 15th or 16th. Quote
LaLaLaFontaine Posted May 23, 2015 Report Posted May 23, 2015 Great game by the Rangers. I root for them. Quote
Ogre Posted May 24, 2015 Report Posted May 24, 2015 I'd say that kid has some wheels. That was nuts. Quote
