MBHockey13 Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Two many men. Crazy. Chicago already killed off their penalty. But this could be huge. Quote
MBHockey13 Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Is that a rule? Headbutting the puck? I never heard of it but is it against the rules? It should be, but is it? Quote
Iron Crotch Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Illegal header. No goal. This game will never end. Quote
drnkirishone Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Show me in the rule book cwhere that is illegal.... Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 I had no idea there was a rule against headbutting a puck into the net. I mean, somebody actually thought of that? Never seen it before, that's for sure. Quote
MBHockey13 Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) Show me in the rule book cwhere that is illegal.... That's what I'm thinking. What if it isn't illegal? They would have had to check the rulebook in Toronto, right? I looked. There is nothing. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/en/v3/ext/rules/2014-2015-rulebook.pdf Sorry - found it. It's illegal. 78.5 Disallowed Goals – Apparent goals shall be disallowed by the Referee and the appropriate announcement made by the Public Address Announcer for the following reasons: (i) When the puck has been directed, batted or thrown into the net by an attacking player other than with a stick. Edited May 20, 2015 by MBHockey13 Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Apparently there's a generic rule about deliberately directing the puck in with anything other than a stick that covers the headbutt. I never would have guessed that'd be applied to a header. Quote
MBHockey13 Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Triple OT. Whoo hoo! I just CAN'T imagine if the Sabres were playing in this game. It's been a while. That Sabres - Devils game with Hasek and Brodeur that Hannan managed to end is one of the most intense games I've ever watched. Quote
Thorner Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 What a thriller going on in Anaheim right now! Multiple OT games are the best. Quote
Stads Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Damn you Hawks and Ducks. I need to get up for work in 4 hours. Quote
ubkev Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Damn you Hawks and Ducks. I need to get up for work in 4 hours. I know what you mean. At this rate, I might not get 10 hours of sleep tonight. :) Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 I'm staying tuned in just to see if Milbury gets the DT's at 2am.............. Quote
Hoss Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) I'm pulling for them but Chicago has gotten away with quite a bit in these overtimes... Multiple interference and tripping calls missed. A few posts have helped, too. What Kesler just did to stores is the epitome of what interference is and no call. Right in front of the ref to. The whistles have disappeared in OT. Stads Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Thank you Marcus Kruger! I can finally go to bed. Quote
MBHockey13 Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Thank you Marcus Kruger! I can finally go to bed. Yup! That was a good goal too. Quote
ubkev Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) Thank you Marcus Kruger! I can finally go to bed. I stopped drinking in the third period. I started again after the second overtime. Bed is probably a good idea. Edited May 20, 2015 by ubkev Quote
qwksndmonster Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 What a fantastic game. This series is going to 7. Those pings by the Ducks in overtime... Nightmare fodder for Ducks fans. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 I'm getting so old! I fell asleep after the first period last night :death: Quote
LGR4GM Posted May 20, 2015 Author Report Posted May 20, 2015 was there a header last night? wtf? Quote
Cereal Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 was there a header last night? wtf? Ha, I guess so! http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=768243&navid=nhl:topheads I like how the Hawks all stormed the ice to celebrate, but a handful of them realized there was no way that'd count. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 Shaw seemed to have no doubt in his mind that it was a goal. I thought so, too. Quote
