Taro T Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 The "original 6" mythology gets more meaningless with each passing year. But, if Chicago wins their next game and TB wins its next 5, they'll be the 1st team to beat FOUR O6 in the playoffs. And the reason they'd be the 1st is, since the league went to 4 rounds, it's been real hard to find 4 O6 thst belonged in the playoffs. Nevermind the scheduling fluke it takes to run across 4 of 'em. Taro T Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 Let me know when they play the Montreal Wanderers and Toronto Blueshirts. Will do. You care if they play the Bulldogs, Tigers, Americans, Pirates, Quakers, or Eagles? Quote
Sabre Dance Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 Perhaps the Montreal Maroons or Toronto Arenas. Yeah, the Original Six only works if you believe the world was created in 1947... Quote
dudacek Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 I wonder how the Quakers would be marketed today. Quote
SwampD Posted May 29, 2015 Report Posted May 29, 2015 If the Rags win this series then I'm going to have to go over to the Theology Thread. In there I will fight to the death that there is no god. I may concede, though, that there is a god, but he's a dick. Quote

LGR4GM Posted May 30, 2015 Author Report Posted May 30, 2015 The extra day off seems to have helped the Lightning. They seem a little more with it this game. Quote

3putt Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 Over thinking it on both side. When that stops, there are some good players on both benches. Quote

WildCard Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 That is a HORRIBLE call on Morrow. That was terrible Quote
Thorner Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 That was terrible Pretty tight too-many-men call there too. Not liking the direction of the reffing in this MSG game thus far. Quote

SwampD Posted May 30, 2015 Report Posted May 30, 2015 The Lightning can definitely skate, but it just seems like they are losing all the body battles (other than the hit on Kreider, of course) and that usually wins playoff hockey. Quote
