MBHockey13 Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 Really sad and scary. When I was a kid Don Edwards was my favorite player for a while. http://www.lfpress.com/2015/04/25/don-edwards-fights-to-keep-parents-killer-in-jail Quote
DR HOLLIDAY Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 He was my favourite goalie when I was a kid, I remember when that brutal event happened.......Keep your head up Mr. Edwards Quote
Stoner Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 Terrible. I can't believe the family has been "in hiding" since the murders. Am I reading that right? Quote
Jsixspd Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 I would get angry at the weak criminal justice system in Canada - but I honestly can't say our criminal justice system is any better here in NYS.... we let both William Spengler and Arthur Shawcross out early, and without supervision. That ended well, huh? Spengler beat his elderly, legally blind grandmother to death with a hammer - and got out afeter 17 years. Shawcross incredibly served only 12 years for the vicious rape and murder of two small children. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted April 29, 2015 Report Posted April 29, 2015 I had no idea. The problem is unless you are the worst of the terrible killers and rapists (Paul Bernardo ...) you will not be classified as a *never to see the outside*. If the parole board has already released this bugger on day passes and such I don't hold out much hope. That said, there is some hope. Best wishes, Mr. Edwards. Quote
calti Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 Unbelievable. The judges and parole board should be in prison. Quote
Huckleberry Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 To be honest, in clear cut cases like these, i wouldn't mind the dead penalty. My opinion but a very popular one over here. Quote
