Weave Posted June 7, 2015 Report Posted June 7, 2015 He has cleared waiver once already. I'm guessing he'd clear again. If I were Terry I would keep in the organization and pay him well whether he played, coached or just sat around. That kid has given as much as a guy could give. I wonder also if another NHL squad would change their opinion on him. Does he have value outside of buffalo? My gut says that last seasons suspension was a special case. The league wanted him down in the A, if not out altogether. I really think there was an agreement among the teams to let him pass through waivers. Quote
dudacek Posted June 8, 2015 Author Report Posted June 8, 2015 Bylsma has a rep for loving his 4th line grinders like Craig Adams and Tanner Glass. I wonder if he had a role in the decision to talk contact with PK? Quote
dudacek Posted June 18, 2015 Author Report Posted June 18, 2015 Hmmm... Not so fast on PK re-signing. Looks like he's more of a fallback option in July. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Yep, TM said they're letting him hit UFA, and maybe they'll come back to him. Quote
mphs mike Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Bill Hajt? Bert and, I believe, Morris titanic Quote
Taro T Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Bert and, I believe, Morris titanic Virta as well. Quote
LabattBlue Posted June 19, 2015 Report Posted June 19, 2015 Virta as well. Not counting the guys who only had a short stint in the NHL, I was surprised that the list is so short. I guess it won't grow much in the future knowing that the salary cap era forces teams to part ways with long time players. Quote

The only question is if he has a future in Rochester. Quote

shrader Posted July 10, 2015 Report Posted July 10, 2015 ...or the league. Poor guy, he's getting married, too. It seems like he has outlived many similar players. There's no shame in that. I've never been a fan of him and his style of play, but I will readily admit that there are countless hockey players out there who would kill for a chance at the career he has had so far. Quote

If he was smart, he made more money than I will in my lifetime so he can live out the duration in middle-class style. Quote

shrader Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 Considering he'll never have to pay for a drink in Ev-Angola or S Buffalo, at least that. ;) A slight tangent here, but I've always been confused by the thought of buying a drink for someone who has far more money than you do. Quote

beerme1 Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 I see it as "You've provided me enjoyment in the past, let me buy you a drink so I can provide you some enjoyment." LOL almost word for word what I said to Barnaby once after seeing him in the same establishment. Quote
wjag Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 two words: buh bye And that comes from a long time supporter/defender of him. Quote
Drunkard Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 I see it as "You've provided me enjoyment in the past, let me buy you a drink so I can provide you some enjoyment." That's how I see it too. I bought Rick Jeanneret a beer at Buffalo Brothers pizza a few years ago when the Sabres Road Trip was held in Raleigh. I'm sure he was already drinking for free courtesy of the Restaurant but I bought him one anyway as a token of my appreciation for the guy. Quote
