Kristian Posted April 11, 2015 Report Posted April 11, 2015 Shame on you Physics, by posting this, you have angered the hockey gods, and for the second year in a row, we'll be drafting second :P Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted April 11, 2015 Author Report Posted April 11, 2015 I'm strangely ok with this. Quote

wjag Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 Not me. Anything short of McDavid this year will feel like a waste. Eichel is a consolation price, but he is not the prize. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 Not me. Anything short of McDavid this year will feel like a waste. Eichel is a consolation price, but he is not the prize. Prepare to feel wasted then. Quote
wjag Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 Prepare to feel wasted then. I am.. That is why I have been an anti-tanker. Quote
sabresith Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 Sorry, but Eichel is more than a consolation prize. He might not be Mcdavid, but he is far better prospect than most the last ten years. Quote
wjag Posted April 12, 2015 Report Posted April 12, 2015 Sorry, but Eichel is more than a consolation prize. He might not be Mcdavid, but he is far better prospect than most the last ten years. I agree.. He is still the consolation prize for losing the lottery. Otherwise he would be drafted number 1 and not consensus number 2 Quote
Kruppstahl Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 5 days until McDavid. I believe. A 20% chance isn't THAT BAD, is it? I mean, if I had a 1 in 5 chance of being killed every time I hopped in a car, I probably wouldn't drive. Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 I like the soundtrack on that first one.... Offspring? Quote

X. Benedict Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Not me. Anything short of McDavid this year will feel like a waste. Eichel is a consolation price, but he is not the prize. When the prize is Gretzky, it is hard to accept you"re only getting Yzerman. :P Edited April 14, 2015 by X. Benedict Quote
wjag Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 When the prize is Gretzky, it is hard to accept you"re only getting Yzerman. :P Gretsky: 894G, 1963A Yzerman: 692G, 1063A Like I said, consolation prize :P Quote

Samson's Flow Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 A 20% chance isn't THAT BAD, is it? I mean, if I had a 1 in 5 chance of being killed every time I hopped in a car, I probably wouldn't drive. Thats... morbid. How about a 1 in 5 chance of winning the Mega Millions lotto? Quote
wjag Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 1 day until McDavid.... 20% of me believes. Quote
SwampD Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 1 day until McDavid.... 20% of me believes. Don't waiver now. Be strong. Quote
GoPre Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 I've already convinced myself the Sabres will not win the lottery. It'll help prevent a let down. Had my moment of excitement when Columbus scored the eventual game winning goal last week to secure "McEichel" for Buffalo. Just hope Eichel doesn't stay in college. Quote
Marvelo Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 If the Sabres win the lottery and get McDavid, I see five-seven years out of him tops. Back when the Sabres selected Perreault, players couldn't force their way out of town. If they could, Perreault would've been gone to the Habs, his dream destination. As great as he was, I'm convinced he would've been greater playing out his dream. McDavid's dream is to play with the Leafs, Buffalo's chief rival, but a rivalry that doesn't mean much to anyone else in the league. In this hockey era, great players can orchestrate the situations they want. Now Pegula might bribe him into a few years with insane money, but I don't think Buffalo means much to him. You only live once and by hook or crook, I see McDavid eventually going to the Leafs, if not by some manipulation of the lottery, then a few years down the road by his choice along with a powerful agent. And Eichel, if he turns out...he grew up near Boston... Quote

Guy wanted nothing to do w/ the Bills. Quote
