Claude Balls Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Evander Kane is more of a wannabe mobster than he is a wannabe gangsta. I haven't seen a track suit since the Sopranos were on. Quote
Hoss Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Evander Kane can ###### off. Eichel gets #9. He can give him a gold chain or pair of Air Jordans for it. Yea this is definitely racist. Quote
calti Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Evander Kane is more of a wannabe mobster than he is a wannabe gangsta. I haven't seen a track suit since the Sopranos were on. I heard he was spotted in the track suit,,wearing a gold chain and bracelet at an Italian deli on the west side. Quote
Sabrestrike Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 Back to the question of Eichel's number...he should wear 99 if Kane takes 9. F*** it, the pressure on him is great enough as it is, might as well go for the glory. By the way, where is Gretzky on all the prospective coaching lists? Would probably be a terrible move, but imagine the pub Buffalo would get if The Great One is coaching the Next Great One (McEichel). Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 He can't wear #99. Nobody can. Quote
GoPre Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 He can't wear #99. Nobody can. There's another number ending in 9 he could wear. Ha ha NHL may not allow it though. Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 he could just be a normal kid and wear 96... his birth year. Quote
LastPommerFan Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 he could just be a normal kid and wear 96... his birth year. Ugh. I'm old. Quote
Trettioåtta Posted April 14, 2015 Report Posted April 14, 2015 he could just be a normal kid and wear 96... his birth year. 96 for Eichel 97 for McDavid That would be quite good actually Quote
MBHockey13 Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Great article about scouting both McDavid and Eichel that WGR55 just shared. http://m.edmontonsun.com/2014/12/30/nhl-scout-evaluates-mcdavid-eichel-ahead-of-matchup Quote
Samson's Flow Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 (edited) Well I have been trying to stay away but it's been difficult. I feel the need to defend Evander Kane. He is a well dressed, well spoken, well raised kid who has worked very hard to give his family a better life. I have seen nothing from him to indicate he is a problem child and I think the worst that can be said is he has an attitude. Good. I am sick of boring, cliche, hockey players with no personality. Evander Kane is a Buffalo Sabre and a veteran. Jack Eichel is neither. Kane gets the number he wants and Eichel can wait in line. I can't wait until Kane shuts up the doubters... it is going to be amazing. I really hate when I come to a thread and have a response all thought up and ready to go, and then I scroll down to see that Liger has already wrote it. What a dick. Edited April 15, 2015 by Tchaikovsky по Boyes Quote

Samson's Flow Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Yeah. Have fun with that. It's cool. Just let it be known before everyone jumps back on the Hodgson bandwagon that I was here the whole time. 20 goals, 50 points next year as the RW on Reinhart's line. Quote
Cereal Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Great article about scouting both McDavid and Eichel that WGR55 just shared. http://m.edmontonsun.com/2014/12/30/nhl-scout-evaluates-mcdavid-eichel-ahead-of-matchup mmmmmmmmm... that's a good read. Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Based on that I think I almost prefer Eichel. Quote
WildCard Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Based on that I think I almost prefer Eichel. I think he may be more NHL ready, but McDavid will have the better career. Love the fact that he isn't whiny/a push over like Crosby; McDavid that is Quote
pi2000 Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Based on that I think I almost prefer Eichel. Based on this I prefer Eichel.... ..can McDavid do that? This goes back to the whole "Eichel is playing against men and McDavid is playing against teenagers" argument. I think Eichel jumps right in and conributes immediately in a big way due to his strength and size. McDavid probably gets pushed around a bit until he fills out in a few seasons. Quote
WildCard Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 There's no need to prematurely prefer Eichel over McDavid because we have a higher shot at Eichel guys :P Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Love the fact that he isn't whiny/a push over like Crosby; McDavid that is I don't think either one is. Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 McDavid is better than Eichel and is not afraid of playing physical. Eichel is currently stronger. Both players are special. Quote
