SDS Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Assuming he was eligible this year instead of last... Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Probably third. I think he would be rated higher than anyone after the big 2 this draft. Quote
qwksndmonster Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 I think he's in the tier with Hanifin, Strome, and Marner. So anywhere in between 3rd and 6th. Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 It would be cool if we ended up with something comparable with the the Crosby/Malkin combo. Quote
sicknfla Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 It would be cool if we ended up with something comparable with the the Crosby/Malkin combo. That would be an unlikely best case scenario. And even then we could find ourselves fighting for a playoff spot with 3 games to play. Quote

If the fight to land a playoff spot with 3 games to play is happening a few years after we win the cup I, for one, wouldn't care. Quote

Of course not, you are a normal fan. But a large amount of buffalo fans would whine how we won a Stanley cup, or about bad calls, etc. I think Reinhart would be picked in the 3-6 range, and is in the same class of a strome/marner. Quote

Hoss Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Definitely the 3-6 range. I think he would've been looked at as more of a known commodity than Strome and Marner but it would've depended on who is picking where. Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Good point. I wouldn't be bitching either. But what if they squeak in and then lose their first round series 4-0? Quote
pi2000 Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 Based solely on the season he had this year in Kootenay and the fact he's built like like an 11 year old? Probably in the 7-10 range just because he was so good at the WJC. Quote
Huckleberry Posted April 6, 2015 Report Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) I don't know, Reinhart undressed Eichel in the wjc's, I'd rate him above eichel at this point. Also the reason i want Mcdavid more. Edited April 6, 2015 by Heimdall Quote

One years difference. Eichel was the best player in the NCAA - so against 22 year olds this 18 year old stood apart Quote
3putt Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) I think we would have been worrying about finishing no worse than 29th. The consternation would have been much less. Reinhart is going to have a fantastic NHL career. Edited April 7, 2015 by 3putt Quote
Thorner Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 I think we would have been worrying about finishing no worse than 29th. The consternation would have been much less. Reinhart is going to have a fantastic NHL career. Completely agree. Was gonna say the same thing but you beat me to it! Quote
bunomatic Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Reinhart will be fine!!!! Liger. Is that you ? Quote
Rasmus_ Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 Reinhart would come in just behind Eichel. I think he's a fair margin better than Dylan Strome and Mitch Marner, but that's my opinion. Hanifen is debatable. Quote
ddaryl Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 possibly 2nd overall definitely 3rd at worst IMO Quote
LGR4GM Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) McDavid Eichel Marner Reinhart Strome Edited April 7, 2015 by LGR4GM Quote
Brennan Huff Posted April 7, 2015 Report Posted April 7, 2015 McDavid Eichel Marner Reinhart Strome Switch Strome and Marner. But yes I think Reinhart would go 4th Quote
