deluca67 Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Upthread I mentioned how many 'hawks fans I saw walking around before the game. Again where were these bandwagonners 8 years ago?Waiting for Bill Wirtz to die. Quote
I am Defecting Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Quite possible. Quite possible. Gave up alcohol, eh? Remained cohent, well that's par for the course. Continued posting... continued. Remained coherent, eh? Well, that's unusual. Looks like someone is running for office! Quote
Claude Balls Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Nope. Neither. No reason they shouldn't after the way they have been playing as of late. Quote
Chris in Syracuse Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Either you want McEichel or the W. At this point there are no style points. Besides you wanged GMTM fired.I want the worst team to finish 30th. If that is the sabres so be it. A win makes us even with a game in hand. I have been calling for Murray to be fired yes. I have had a little change of heart listening to his interview the other day. I loved everything he said. I wish he had said it sooner. Quote
dudacek Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 I'm starting to wonder if maybe the Sabres need to keep Nolan. The thought has occurred to me too. All I ever wanted was for him to use the right players in the right roles. Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 I'm starting to wonder if maybe the Sabres need to keep Nolan. If they land Babcock or someone of that ilk, Nolan is gone. However, if they don't land their man I can see where Nolan *might* be back next year. I don't think he get's fired for the sake of getting fired; if he gets fired it's because the Sabres land their man. Quote
I am Defecting Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 It's small-minded to remain consistent in rooting for the Sabres to win at this point. There is zero chance that the team will make the playoffs. There is no point to winning these games. You quoted the fellow who wrote Self-Reliance, eh? You still made that point? Quote
Claude Balls Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 You know, you've gotta give some credit to the little guy with the C right now. He's done what TM brought him here to do. I love Gionta, but will he still be here next year? Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 I think I should do a novena to you, Although praying to Neuvirth's glove sounds sacrilegious. Bless you, my son. No reason they shouldn't after the way they have been playing as of late. I'm not saying those guys will be captains next year, or that they aren't What I will say is that unlike several of the last few seasons, there will be no shortage of captain material. Quote
dudacek Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 I love Gionta, but will he still be here next year? Two more years, no trade clause. He's here. Quote

Doohicksie Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 All I ever wanted was for him to use the right players in the right roles. But that wouldn't have put us in a position to win the shart. I think Nolan and GMTM are tighter than many around here think. If he gets replaced I think GMTM will find Teddy another job in the organization. Quote
Fire Eater Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 5 minutes into the first and Arizona's down 2-0. Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 I love Gionta, but will he still be here next year? I think so. He'll wear the C to start the season, and maybe for the whole season. When the kids sort out who the Cs and As should be, then Gionta will give up his C. Quote
Claude Balls Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Two more years, no trade clause. He's here. As long as he is here he deserves the C. It will be very interesting to see the starting lineup next fall. Quote
Doohicksie Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 5 minutes into the first and Arizona's down 2-0. Even poor teams can come back against quality opponents. Quote
#freejame Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Nolan deserves to be back. Under what pretext? Quote
Claude Balls Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 5 minutes into the first and Arizona's down 2-0. So was Buffalo, but we all know Arizona has zero compete in them. That will most likely be all SJ needs to win. Quote
Fire Eater Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 Even poor teams can come back against quality opponents. But they have to work really, really hard. Not sure that applies in this case. Quote
carpandean Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 5 minutes into the first and Arizona's down 2-0. They were down by two before they had a shot on net. Quote
Sabrestrike Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 So was Buffalo, but we all know Arizona has zero compete in them. That will most likely be all SJ needs to win. Yeah, I'm sold on the Arizona tank. They have laid down. Buffalo has to lose out or McEichel is theirs. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 They were down by two before they had a shot on net. And they scored but the goal was disallowed. Yeah, I'm sold on the Arizona tank. They have laid down. Buffalo has to lose out or McEichel is theirs. Well we have one win to give. Can we go 1-3? Quote
Claude Balls Posted April 4, 2015 Report Posted April 4, 2015 (edited) And they scored but the goal was disallowed. Well we have one win to give. Can we go 1-3? And the conspiracy builds. Although those handful of Coyote fans may be thinking the same thing about Buffalo after losing by letting in two goals in the last 1:40. Edited April 4, 2015 by Claude Balls Quote
