rakish Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I was looking at DeBrincat's stats yesterday, thinking the same thing. I also think the same of Bitten, but I'm sure if Bitten continues to score, his ranking will become more reasonable. Quote

I don't see DeBrincat moving into top ten even with the OHL scoring lead at the end of the season. The NHL GM's like'm bigger now a days. Quote
Doohicksie Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Mathews is going to Edmonton. It is written. Sadly you are correct. It has been prophesied. Quote

True but if I were sitting at 10-15 and DeBrincat is there, as long as I think his skating and shot are elite, I take him. We have seen that the template for smaller guys is elite skating and other skills to make up for the size difference. Gionta, St Louis, T Johnson etc... are all smaller guys who had/having good careers because they do other things so well. Quote

I'm watching because I believe the Sabres could very well have that 10-15 pick. The timing for a Gointa replacement type player in his prime couldn't be any better either if DeBrincat comes through. Huckleberry Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 I would always rather draft first when there's an Austin Matthews type player there. He scored two goals in his first game back from injury by the way. Don't know, if that turns into duclair and domi, those are two solid wingers for Reinhart and Eichel. Quote

3putt Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 8 tries to win the Matthews sweepstakes! I hate myself. Took me 10. Oilers hit 4 out of ten and sadly the Jax just once. Quote
WildCard Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 I seriously got the Oilers winning my first 5 tries  I've been wondering at the league's reaction if the Oilers genuinely won the lottery again, assuming no foul play this time or any previous time. Would they rig it to specifically not allow it? Would they just let it happen? Quote
ubkev Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 4 tries for the Sabres to win. 2 Calgary, 1 Colorado, 1 Buffalo. Quote
Claude_Verret Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 As confident as I was in the Sabres winning the shart last year, I'm equally as confident that they will come up short this year. Also, given the rule changes the shart of years past is merely a skidmark now. Quote
Hoss Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 I've been wondering at the league's reaction if the Oilers genuinely won the lottery again, assuming no foul play this time or any previous time. Would they rig it to specifically not allow it? Would they just let it happen? I've always thought they should make a rule about this. They could make a rule that no team can move UP from the lottery more than once every other year or something like that. This way you're not penalizing a team if they legitimately finish last but you are spreading the wealth more assuredly. Quote
Drunkard Posted December 11, 2015 Report Posted December 11, 2015 I'll just leave this here... http://nhllotterysimulator.com/#/ Sabres got the #3 pick on my second try and they got the #1 pick on my 3rd try. How sweet would it be to pick top 3 and be able to snag a guy like Matthews, Chychrun, or Puljujarvi if we end up missing the playoffs. Quote
