Yup. Only way I end up mad is if we go with someone like Logan Brown or Jake Bean.

Weren't you the guy who didn't like the Ristolainen pick??? You were also very high on Yakupov to in his draft year, right???

I don't know. I'm losing a little faith and starting to think maybe you should be fired! More so in light of your cavalier attitude towards the overlying issue.

No don't fire him, a final written warning will do with the prerequisite weekly reviews to see if he's progressing properly. Maybe a required inservice on how to rid himself of bunkers and other such hazards.

JT Commission visit you recently? Or Union negotiators?

The bunker may contain hazardous materials (this is a smelly poop joke), but the Bunker itself exceeds all building code requirements. Safety first!

No I guess I've been in management too long and if you would please shhhhh and refrain from using the word Union when replying to me. I am in Texas after all.

Murray would have just traded the pick to the Sens for an assistant equipment manager and Chris Neal anyway.  :flirt:

so according to the conversion chart, Puljujarvi in a full 82 game season gets 23points, now the catch is SM-Liiga has a lower N then the Canadian junior conversion. But for fun, the Canadian junior conversion puts Reinhart at 43.05 points in a full 82 game season, Reinhart had 42points in 79 games. So it seems accurate. Laine clocks in at 32.7points roughly and to be honest, Laine will probably top 50 if he plays 82 games. So idk what to tell ya

Canadian Major Junior had an N of 402 which is much more stable. I wish this article was updated but it is from 2012 I think. Anyone with a newer conversion table for junior points to nhl please let me know.

Just an observation, but when the talent becomes more concentrated, both Finns seem to amp up their games.  I think both would benefit from playing with a higher caliber of talent around them.

I think Laine is going to be a better player than Mathews in the long term.

Have you told Toronto that their pick might be a winger instead of a franchise C? Wonder how solid they feel with Mathews right about now though don't ya lol. Hey T.O. FU. Hope you make the wrong choice.

If that's possible.

They'll take Mathews and they should.

I just have this hunch about Laine.

Me too I think he's better than Matthews. Plus remember wasn't the other Finn who will probably go third overall leading the world juniors in points. All 3 seem to be top end talent. It will be interesting what Murray has up his sleeve on or before draft day.

Common sense and reports out of Edmonton are that they would like to trade down in the draft.  Obviously they have a huge need at D and taking one of the D at that pick is likely a reach.

Any interest in the Sabres trading up from 8 to 4 if the cost is say a 2nd and 3rd?  How much better would TM value Dubois/Tkchuck vs. Chychurn/Juolevi/Nylander?

There would be value in getting to 4 if you still have the assets to move from 4 to 2 without mortgaging the farm.  I think it will take a hefty overpay to get to 4.  Imho, after 3 through 10 its not a huge talent drop and more of a decision on fit and style of play.

Personally seeing where the drop off is after the big 3, it is right around 10th overall, I would not trade up simply because I think in that top 7 you see one surprise (Logan Brown or Clayton Keller anyone?) and that means someone else slides.  I think at #8 we will have a choice between Sergachev, Chychrun/Juolevi (one will still be there), Dubois, Nylander/Keller. Potentially that leaves us with 4 options to pick from and my instinct says Sergachev, Chychrun, Nylander, Keller will all be available at #8 which means I don't have a pressing need to jump to #4.

I think we see the big 3, Dubois, Logan Brown, Juolevi, Tkachuk goe before we pick. Granted that could change in a hurry  :flirt:

Absolutely. Also, I think it takes way more than a 2nd and the 3rd to jump from 8 to 4.

Ya that's probably a bit low.  I think Pysyk would have to be in there somewhere.
