Doohicksie Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 How so? Breaking in rookies with consistent linemates isn't any less of an investment in the future. No pressure this year, see how he does with different types of wingers. Give him stability next year and watch him shine. Quote
Randall Flagg Posted February 10, 2016 Report Posted February 10, 2016 Not sure where to put this, but I like Ristolainen's accountability: http://www.wgr550.com/Sabres-Ristolainen-feels-he-must-get-better-with-e/22458871 "Rasmus Ristolainen was pretty down after practice and only provided very short answers on his current slump, “We’ve been losing so I’ve got to get better.” I asked in what way and he said, “In every way.” I asked nothing specific and he said, “No.” He did open up a little after that, “I’ve made some bad plays, so I’ve just got to keep getting better and cut those plays off.”" Quote

Taro T Posted February 12, 2016 Report Posted February 12, 2016 How does this pay off any more than him having consistent wingers this year? Uh, Reinhart's stats end up close to Eichel's, so it's all good. If that ain't it; no ####ing idea. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 Zemgus back to practice this morning. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 Bylsma says Girgensons may be ready to go tomorrow. Larsson skated this morning but is not ready. His issue is a lower-body injury. Quote
Hoss Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 Bylsma also said Girgeonsons will play center when he returns. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 Here are the lines from this AM per Brian Duff Early line rushes looked like this - 44-17/84-26, 9-90-23, 88-15-56 82-28-12 #Sabres Quote

I would like to see Girgs back with Eichel, but that will probably come once Larsson is back. Quote
Doohicksie Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 How does this pay off any more than him having consistent wingers this year? Let him play with different players to see where the best fit is. I like those like. I would like to see Girgs back with Eichel, but that will probably come once Larsson is back. I was thinking I'd like to see Foligno in McGinn's place, but I don't hate those combos. Quote

Peppy22 Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 what concerns me the most is our defence...feels like different lines every week. at least pair McCabe and Ristolainen and Pysyk and Bogo...even if both are righthanded... If you want key players to be key play them...Let McCabe and Risto play 50 games together and wait and see where it goes. Quote
Brawndo Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Larsson back at practice, Bailey still here as well Quote
#freejame Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Larsson back at practice, Bailey still here as well Hopefully we start seeing: 88-90-23 28-15-95 9-22-12 44-17-82 That would be the best our lines have looked all season. Quote
Weave Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Are we one over if Larsson is back? Quote
MattPie Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Kane too hungover to practice^ Trade for Stamkos! Quote
Brawndo Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Lines today were: 88-90-23, 28-15-26, 82-22-12, and 44-17-56 #Sabres Moulson to the second line..sigh Quote
Eleven Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Lines today were: 88-90-23, 28-15-26, 82-22-12, and 44-17-56 #Sabres Moulson to the second line..sigh Id say put Bailey there to open space but Girgs already is there. I dont hate these lines. Quote
Taro T Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 Id say put Bailey there to open space but Girgs already is there. I dont hate these lines. Considering that's where I've got Fasching pencilled in, I guess I'm ok w/ Bailey not being there. But since Jack and Gus have looked in sync together, I've really wanted to get a preview of what the Sabres "Legion if Doom" might become. Bailey might be able to give a snippet. (And that is w/ realizing the LT plan probably is to have O'Reilly eventually on Jack's wing & Sam centering the 2nd line.) Quote
WildCard Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 God dammit. I loved Bailey's play, I really liked him in that line Quote
inkman Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 God dammit. I loved Bailey's play, I really liked him in that line Yeah Byslma must be back off the sauce Quote
Crusader1969 Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 God dammit. I loved Bailey's play, I really liked him in that line Lets not forget where the Sabres got Bailey for all those who don't want to see McGinn Traded. Quote
Weave Posted February 16, 2016 Report Posted February 16, 2016 Lets not forget where the Sabres got Bailey for all those who don't want to see McGinn Traded. Meh. 25% chance that repeats. And this assumes Bailey sticks and has a top 6 role going forward. Quote
